who starts at 125, 133, 141 and 149 next year? 157 up to heavyweight is set, but should be interesting for the first 4 weight classes. Thank you.

I'm not an expert, but here is my best guess:

125: Teske (or possibly Teasdale--but I'm guessing Teasdale RS's)
133: RBY
141: Lee
149: Verkleeren

My best guess would be

125-Teasdale
133-RBY
141-Nick Lee
149-Berge/Verkleeren

Teasdale, Bravo-Young, Lee, Verk/Berge is a guess but by no means claiming expert.

We literally have zero idea. Wrestle offs, and what Cael believes is the best freshman for the weight. It's a grind, but somebody gotta do it.

No one can definitively say in the first two weight classes, but some combination of Teske, RBY and Teasdale at 125/133. Whoever acclimates the best to the college room and shows an ability to be competitive as a true freshman. There is a combined high school record of 516-3 between the three of them...yikes!

Lee will lock down 141 for sure and like others said, Berge or Verk at 149. I was impressed with Verk at the Scuffle and I think he can be a pleasant surprise in the lineup next year although I have no idea what it looks like between him and Berge in the room.

Also, I don't think 197 is an absolute unless we get news that Cassar is transferring. I still think that could be a battle going into next year with Rasheed. If Rasheed truly walks around at 192-195, what I wonder is if Cassar decides to remain at PSU for his career (which I realize is a long shot) if after Bo vacates next year we have Rasheed slot into 184 and Cassar man 197. I think Rasheed could easily make the drop to 184 now...what remains to be seen is if he could do that after next year. Lineup speculation is always fun!

Shak and Bo are the same class, Shak going 184 is not happening unless Bo gets hurt. Technically Cassar is in the same class too, due to his injuries he could get a 6th year.

Both Rasheed and Cassar as of now only have 1 year of eligibility left after this season. Cassar should easily get a 6th year if he wants it as he lost 3 years to injury. However, I don't see how Rasheed would even have a case to apply for a 6th year.

I think nest week at NCAA will have a lot to do with next year, I gotta say Rasheed did not have a great bigs--seemed to have a little less fire to me...and Im just not sure what to think on that

I get your meaning, and we all had high hopes that Shak would be a bonus machine at B1Gs. But let’s not lose perspective. Shak went from not even being in the starting lineup until February to taking 2nd at the toughest conference tournament in the nation. And he was in that final match until the 3rd period. Pretty impressive. Aside from bonus points, Shak outperformed Bo’s 2017 B1Gs result. Bo rebounded hugely 2 weeks later. Fingers crossed that the Shraken does the same.

125 Teske (Teasdale RS)
133 RBY
141 Lee
149 Verk
197 Cassar will beat out Rasheed next year, you heard it here first.

I'm guessing Teasdale will benefit from the more rigorous training environment which will help manage weight. College programs also really help with nutrition and you don't have to make weight as frequently. It will probably depend if he is done growing or not. Teske is probably not ready to contribute too much at this point, so a year in the room with his work ethic will really help. The bottom position kills most true freshman- even an elite guy like Nick Lee has some trouble there.

Teasdale looks worn down right now. He looks like he needs to rediscover the fun in wrestling. After winning his 4th state title he didn’t seem to enjoy the moment at all. Not sure if it is a weight thing or simply the pressure from such lofty expectations, but he looks like making it fun again would go a long way.

My son is a high school senior, and I found myself wondering how he would handle all the pressure Gavin was under. The expectations must have been enormously stressful. Congrats to him, hopefully now he can celebrate and there's a weight lifted off his shoulders so to speak.

I agree except I think 149 Berge--I also think another possible line up change is
165 Manville
174 Cenzo (Hall RS)
I hope you're predicting Hall RS + Olympic shirt. Otherwise he or Cenzo sits the following year.

Taking away Hall's team points for Manville's .5 means national title for Okie St.

Hall will wrestle straight through and get folk over with

He's a D1 talent, but not an AA talent. Started to become apparent his junior/senior year and even more so at the Bearcat Open this year. That's why Cael recruited over him. His brother looks like the same dude. When the time comes, Joe Lee will start over Mason.

I also noticed the results at the Bearcat open---I kinda of wrote it off because I heard he had been training greco. I also heard that this past summer Marsteller was training at the NLWC and Manville was hanging with Chance...But I didnt actually see it.

Nova, thought I saw somewhere that both RBY and Aaron Brooks were going to spend a year at OTC before enrollment. Can't find where I read that, though, so did I imagine it?
Can't say if you imagined it or not, that would require a professional :). Can say, as another poster above stated, that he could/should be in the 2018-19 line-up.

Beard delaying enrollment for a year and Brooks to OTC in Colorado Springs for a year is what I have read--I have not seen anything about RBY that would lead me to believe that he wont be in Happy Valley ready to roll next year.
