Am I the only one who doesn't think that he's all that special? I still believe that Allar needs some more work to refine his skills, but I'd take him any day over Ewers, whom I think plays like a robot.So...is it Michigan or Ohio State? On second thought it has to be Oregon, right?
Who knows, perhaps they will meet each other in a game? You never know....Am I only one who doesn't think that he's all that special? I still believe that Allar needs some more work to refine his skills, but I'd take him any day over Ewers.
Allar's biggest issue is the receivers he's working withAm I the only one who doesn't think that he's all that special? I still believe that Allar needs some more work to refine his skills, but I'd take him any day over Ewers, whom I think plays like a robot.
He still needs to improve his mechanics because they fluctuate within games.Allar's biggest issue is the receivers he's working with
If Allar was willing to portal and transfer he'd get a blank check
Isn't that true of most QBs--even NFL vets?He still needs to improve his mechanics because they fluctuate within games.
I’m with you. I live in Austin so have seen him a lot - both in high school and at ut. He’s nowhere near the hype. Way too in love with his arm - thinks he’s Dan Marino level and it gets him into trouble.Am I the only one who doesn't think that he's all that special? Remember, Ewers is playing on a bad ankle so his movement looks more mechanical and not fluid.Am I the only one who doesn't think that he's all that special? I still believe that Allar needs some more work to refine his skills, but I'd take him any day over Ewers, whom I think plays like a robot.
It would not be OSU. Ewers stiffed them once. Besides, Ohio State is deep at QB. If he was an olineman, they would welcome him.So...is it Michigan or Ohio State? On second thought it has to be Oregon, right?

Ewers went to OSU for his freshman year, then went back to Texas. That left OSU hanging. I doubt they would bring him back. I don't think Day brings in a qb using the portal. Their focus in the portal will be OL.I think if he was interested, Day would take him. Deep on prospects. Low on actual production. I don't think anybody would hold it against Ewers that he left for playing time if he can be your QB1. Yall took Howard and he exceeded expectations across the board...save for beating Michigan. He can still remedy that.
Do you think Day rides the portal out without getting a QB? I think yall bring one in before the beginning of summer camp '25. Wouldn't be shocked if it's in the winter window so Sayin has somebody to compete against.

Recent posters aren't believing Michigan State is the suitor?
Day's problem is not qb. He has Sayin (5*), a kid named Noland (sp?) and one of the highest rated qb's coming in January. His problem is the damned OL. That is why they lost to Michigan. It is also why I don't think they make a deep run. They cannot get push on the line of scrimmage. He went there, primarily, to get his NIL deal became the state of Texas had yet to fix their's for HS players. Day is a great QB coach as well, so he got to develop behind Stroud and McCord.
Hanging? Yall had McCord. If Ewers was better, you don't think Day shows McCord the door sooner? The reality is, Ewers showed up early and messed the cycle up. Ewers wasn't going to sit a 2nd year so he went to Texas.
Why wouldn't Day bring in a portal guy? He's done it multiple times already. He didn't even give Sayin the 2nd team reps this year. He is going to go into spring highly uncertain.
It’s PSU. He can’t wait to throw to the PSU receivers, especially with Warren moving on to the NFL.Are we the team offering Ewers....
Pretty sure every Big Ten team will be rumored now
Best post to date concerning this silly thread. It’s PSU. He can’t wait to throw to the PSU receivers, especially with Warren moving on to the NFL.
Oh agreed it would be stupidIt’s PSU. He can’t wait to throw to the PSU receivers, especially with Warren moving on to the NFL.
If true and not just a wild rumor, it's gotta be Michigan as it's been reported on the OSU sites that the Sayin kid - who transferred from Alabama - looks really good and should be the starter next year. Of course, Oregon loves to throw money at kids so who knows ? $4 million is chump change to Phil Knight-NikeSo...is it Michigan or Ohio State? On second thought it has to be Oregon, right?
Well, one thing for sure, it's no longer an amateur sport. Actually, hasn't been for decades as they kept everything under the tableCollege football is ruined.
Nothing really has changed. It's just not a secret now.College football is ruined.
If true, he'd probably have to take a pay cut to go to the NFL. If he's leaving TX, a $4M check to spend a year in East Lansing and hopefully get better would be tough to pass up.
How much to get Allar to stay? $2 million + a top WR from the portal?Am I the only one who doesn't think that he's all that special? I still believe that Allar needs some more work to refine his skills, but I'd take him any day over Ewers, whom I think plays like a robot.
The last I saw PSU has $13 million for NIL. It would be awfully difficult to offer $4 million to one player. Are we the team offering Ewers....

I don't believe those numbers--at allThe last I saw PSU has $13 million for NIL. It would be awfully difficult to offer $4 million to one player.
My guess is that Allar leaves and we hope Pribula can become a McSorley type QB. Spend $1 million on a top WR and hope Wallace returns. Reynolds and Dinkins aren't Warren but should be good TEs. Maybe Allen returns at RB and gets paired with Wallace & Martin at RB. We have a lot of highly rated young talent for the OL.
This is fake news.So...is it Michigan or Ohio State? On second thought it has to be Oregon, right?
