Eric Singleton Jr. Recruiting Profile
Eric was rated a Rivals 5.4 star coming out of high school.
What a meteoric and obviously unpredicted rise for this young man.
And another lowly rated but highly productive wide receiver.

That can’t possibly be true. Know-it-all Lando stated unequivocally that players opted out of bowl games because they were meaningless but they would never blow off their teammates in playoff games. He’s a football expert. He told us so.I always knew that would happen. That is why I have no problem with Franklin “processing “ players nowadays.
That's the risk--some kids miss home or don't adapt to a different environmentYeah, that seems to happen quite often, and too often if you ask me.
I mean, if Singleton was taking money and came here without visiting I wouldn't be mad lolIt's not like Singleton is visiting OSU, Maryland, WVU, and VaTech while ignoring us. He's a state of Georgia kid visiting primarily SEC schools. Jawja didn't even make the list and I would have thought that was a lock.
While I get the negative attitude about this with regard to our WR room, one has to be reasonable and understand that we aren't going to look at the portal ratings and simply offer the top 20 WRs listed by Rivals, on3, 247. It's just not how it works.
Some of these kids are taking bags without even visiting. I don't think that is what we want. Is it?

Yep. Good fit for Brohm's offense.Miller Moss to Louisville--I think that's a smart decision
Stereotype much?Transfer portal kids almost always low character. Don't want any.
You haven’t been correct since your mother scolded you for eating the poop out of your diaper and you said, “But, Mommy, taste good!.”No one has opted out of a playoff game
Going to the portal isn't opting out--I never once said guys wouldn't enter the portal
Opting out is literally sitting out to prepare for the draft but you know that--you just know that won't happen and can't admit I'm correct.
I believe there’s an opening in the local 4-year-old preschool if you want to work on your communication skills. You haven’t been correct since your mother scolded you for eating the poop out of your diaper and you said, “But, Mommy, taste good!.”
Look, genius, Lando is an obvious troll. And like Nick told George Bailey in Its a Wonderful Life, if you know him you must be a jailbird yourself. Quit wasting our time with your buffoonery and just get a room with him.I believe there’s an opening in the local 4-year-old preschool if you want to work on your communication skills.
Good grief…..grow up.
Good Lord what has the Board turned in to......Grow up, I agreeYou haven’t been correct since your mother scolded you for eating the poop out of your diaper and you said, “But, Mommy, taste good!.”
He is one of several idiots I have on ignore. I haven't missed a thing any of them has "contributed" since deep sixing them.I believe there’s an opening in the local 4-year-old preschool if you want to work on your communication skills.

Hard to argue that two-time AA type guys wouldn’t be helpfulAgreed. We need some Shane Conlan type guys.
Opting out is the decision to sit out a bowl game to prepare for the draft. See CMC who started it. It was never transferring. That has always existed. You haven’t been correct since your mother scolded you for eating the poop out of your diaper and you said, “But, Mommy, taste good!.”
All true but it kind of has to align with semesters. This portal timing is really idiotic. Really penalizes playoff teams and their players that might be better off transferring.
Teams are still preparing for very important games, so the staff cannot invest in portal players like they'd do otherwise. Backups might be better off entering the portal but the coaches and player have not had opportunity to discuss their future with the team, and everyone wants them (contributors) to play in the playoff games.
The entering into the portal up to 5 days after your teams season ends really doesn't give enough time, plus most spring semesters are starting during this time. Playoff teams probably don't know all they'll need for next season.
This process just causes kids to bail on their team, and unsavory acts by coaches and agents and schools.
Take a back up quarterback who was in a battle to start all year with kid in the same class. He knows to start, he has to transfer, but a good backup quarterback is essential to his team in the playoff. Of course, he has schools he likes and wants to transfer to but they need to get in while the cupboard is full. It's not fair to the player or teams, either interested or present, with the present system. It necessitates backroom deals and shady actions. Is Oregon going to wait to get a quarterback who might enter the portal and might pick them after all other available QBs have already committed.
There has to be a better way, but the transfers have to be there for spring ball, so I don't know what the answer is. Maybe just take everyone and sort it out later.
And Marshall just bailed out of their bowl game because the coach took a promotion to another team which led to seven starters hitting the portal. Marshall was concerned they couldn’t field a teamThis portal timing is really idiotic. Really penalizes playoff teams and their players that might be better off transferring.

The Herd has 30 players in the portal. Several G5 schools have 20+ players looking for greener$ pasturesAnd Marshall just bailed out of their bowl game because the coach took a promotion to another team which led to seven starters hitting the portal. "Attending"is great word.I see the "Bear' has both PSU and SMU on his potential visit list.
Now if those 2 teams were meeting in a playoff game, he could take advantage f being able to see both programs compete against each other.
I wonder if he's interested in attending.

They're not opting out--they have no option but to leave when the window is open to maximize their opportunityFalse. Option out is opting out regardless of the reason.
If we use your flawed definition then we could come up with other excuses like prepping for the draft and say nobody ever opted out.
Concepcion. Want nice things? Go get them. Period.
Hard pass. 3-9 dog of a team in a conference that plays no defense.
We want PROVEN WINNERS WHO PLAY IN REAL CONFERENCES AGAINST ACTUAL DEFENSES...

Just giving a little tribute to All Star poster Penny Lion. Lighten up, Francis.Good Lord what has the Board turned in to......Grow up, I agree
Could that be a clue about whether Drew is returning next year?
It likely means he wasn't give the guarantee he wantedCould that be a clue about whether Drew is returning next year?
Like this guyI'm hoping that Franklin, Kotelnicki and Hagans are a little more selective in going after portal WR's than some on this board seem to be. We've seen incoming portal WR's that had some success at other places strike out in the B10 and at PSU when they faced better defenses so just any WR in the portal that caught 500+ yards of passes in 2024 may not be the answer. PSU seems to need 2 WR's with the talent to be very good #1/#2 WR's at PSU for PSU's offense to get to the next level.
Maybe start playing like some other schools and take anyone you believe may help and then let the ones that can't cut it portal out in the Spring. Might as well use the broken system as it is meant to be used.I'm hoping that Franklin, Kotelnicki and Hagans are a little more selective in going after portal WR's than some on this board seem to be. We need an edge so that would be great
Were we even in play for him?
