Rutgers has lost a lot of its season ticket base over the last few years. I'd expect a pretty split crowd.
Yeah, I agree, it's likely to be a highly pro-PSU crowd for a road match.

Something about Suriano..trolling and being a douche for months according to the RU posters..
Then Matter makes a comment being unimpressed bout RU’s home match sales attendance… and got banned for this? Then the moderator came to Matter’s defense even tho Matter stayed banned over there?

That was in the dual meet. Carter lost to Kemerer in the BIG finals in 2021..
In Gibbons definition of elite, absolutely. All 10 have qualified for the Big10 tournament before.

Not a Rutgers hater. Former Rutgers season ticket holder who got tired of the downward trend of the program, tired of the wrestling style (keep it close and try to win a one takedown match or just keep it close and lose), tired of the fans who get worked up if you point out facts that belie their assertions that the program is zooming to the top. It's a fanbase that, when Ashnault, Pritzlaff, Rivera and Buxton leave the coaching staff in one year, believes there isn't a huge problem in the program. And if you ask what's going on in Piscataway, you'll get called a troll.
It is a program that showed a lot of promise in the 2015-16 season and then squandered it. That's the last season Rutgers beat a top 10 team in a dual meet - and they beat 3 of them that season. It's been *9* years since with zero of those wins. I got banned for saying things like a team that lost the takedown battle by 26-4 in a dual meet wasn't competitive, especially when 7 wrestlers had zero. That was deemed "trashing the program" by the Rutgers faithful.
Clearly, the message board there prefers people like RUCrackers. You get what you deserve sometimes. No point discussing it further.
I was a 1 time season ticket holder *(might have been 70 bucks for 2)* - I gave them all away on NJ.com - I did it just so I could order B1G tickets when they were available --- best 70 bucks I spent! 2020 B1G championships were great to watch live! Then COVID hit and the season was over

Last time I was at a RU match was when PSU was there and Nolf hurt his knee. If any PSU guy even gets a blister this match, I’m banning myself from future events

I would not be at all surprised if Shawver beats Davis, if they did wrestle. Wouldn't be too surprised if that result was reversed, either.
Some inkling of sending out Mason Gibson, so the McCort guys will root for Rutgers as opposed to being observers.
Personalizing the match for them is a pretty smart idea. Not like the dual outcome hinges on Shawver.

Plus, Goodale loves to burn kid's shirts for no reason. Like the kid he just sent out against Mendez when they wrestled Ohio State. Just kidding, I know the kid gets 5 free ones.
But on a serious note, I'd have to think it is going piss off Shawver. He probably wants to go.

Section 4.7 of the Board Bylaws clearly states that such things must be disclosed PRIOR to attending a meet so that preemptive measures can be fully considered and taken by Board members. There will be consequences.
"Personalizing" (like that term) the 133 match won't impact the W/L outcome of the dual, but may increase the potential for a shutout. Shawver is likely RU's best chance at winning a bout.
