Ah what loss would that be. But seriously the SC O has wall to wall talent and in this game, they didn't really beat themselves as they've been known to do.
Defense actually played well second half. Only gave up 10 and made stop in ot

Maybe because if we didn’t get a clutch tying drive with two 4th down conversions and our first 14 point deficit erased with a victory on the road in 19 years, which was highly improbable , it would have been 100% true?

Yeah this “Loss” really hurts our playoff chances 🤣.
USC played better than they had played all year and we didn’t start playing our game until the second half. Again. It was reasonable to think things had a good chance to reverse.
But it wasn’t…it was 100% false. That’s reason number 3,010 why you wait until the game is over before you start posting garbage. How many times do posters have to post something that makes them look ridiculous to learn not to do it again? Because it’s almost always the same posters who can’t wait to dump on Franklin and the team during the game….you would think they would learn at some point.

The defense was generally good except for the few broken plays that went big. What happened to our run defense in this game? I was shocked when USC has some decent runs up the middle.
Also getting intercepted twice put them in a bad spot and they help to FGs for both.

Talk about owning it! The Pribula play turned the game around. Warren’s catch was incredible. Penn State likely wouldn’t have won this game without the package that the Lando Brigade wanted stripped from the offense. That is, having a real quarterback who takes quarterback reps, in the game to pass back to Allar. Own it, Lando.
Beau getting the ball to the actual QB to make a play. We still win the game without that play. We were moving the ball at will. The play was great but not worth the negative that comes with playing Beau. We all know we're best with Drew at QB and thankfully Warren has started to take over that package. You don't really think one play justifies all the horrible momentum killing moments do you?

Give it up and take the L, Lando. Penn State is undefeated and top 3 in the country doing it exactly the way the coaches drew it up, waited all season for the right moment to call it (which “ we all knew” was coming except you) and the team executed to perfection. That’s why Franklin makes the big bucks and you’re an internet mosquito.
Without a rewatch, I'm not certain, but some thoughts:
1. USC is a strong running team. Much stronger than we anticipated. OL blocked good. Backs were fast, shifty.
2. Screen game and short passing game had us on our heels. Then Riley would call 3 straight runs and we'd still be waiting on a pass.
3. Our LBs were not great today. I think it was the 4th quarter before one of them made a tackle in the back field.
4. 4-2-5 just seems to suck vs the run unless your DL dominates. We run a lot of stunt and gap change with our DL instead of playing gap responsibility and head up field.
USC played great today. Much credit to them.
