It will probably be pled down to lewd conduct. Future job offerings and endorsent deals will be limited. I just want him to be treated like anyone else. If some defense lawyer gets it expunged to me that would be bs. He got caught with his pants down for blank sakes. He knew what time it was.

I think we will know in a month how this plays out among the higher ups of the NLWC.
I think we all agree that Cael and Co. speak of the teachings of the Book. Forgiveness is part of that.
Unless sponsors and money to the club will be impacted, Cael has a tough decision. Maybe the Club has guidelines and rules that will automatically go in place on his work status ???

I'm not an Ohio lawyer but I think it's safe to say that he'll be charged with violating Ohio Revised Code 2907.23, Enticement or solicitation to patronize a prostitute, which is a third-degree misdemeanor, carrying a max $1,000 fine and six-month sentence. As a first-time offender (assumedly), it's unlikely he'll serve any time. Under Ohio law, this charge isn't one that necessitates sex offender registration (source here). Expungement is a likely outcome, but my general understanding is that it'll take probably 3-5 years before his attorney can make that request.

Since it's only a first-degree misdemeanor, I'm not sure what he could realistically plead down to. The only neighboring charges with lower-degree misdemeanor possibilities (e.g., public indecency) don't really fit the facts, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a nonstarter. In all likelihood he'll probably plead guilty and get on the road to expungement by keeping his nose clean. I also think this is an instance where his notoriety probably hurts him--the state got more attention (in this case lots) than they usually get (practically none) for their solicitation sting operation, and it would look bad if they let the biggest fish they caught off easier than the others.

Unless Snyder plans to argue entrapment (I dismissed the idea as unlikely upthread, but I'm assuming "normal" facts given the routine nature of multiple-defendant sting operations), he'd best serve his interests by acting contrite, respectful, and hope the court sees him that way. Given his character in interviews and soft-spokeness, my guess is that's what he'll do. If he pleads not-guilty, he still risks being found guilty while simultaneously prolonging the case and adding news cycles.

Let''s not forget that Ohio's Supreme Court is the one that determined "boneless wings" are a cooking style and does not mean the wing actually contain no bones.
