No clue but it was very, very clearly fleeing the matWhat is Kurt bitching about?
Agree. No clue but it was very, very clearly fleeing the mat
Certainly not a good look at the end! Casey not happy with Kurt at all. What is Kurt bitching about?
I was surprised by that one & then got distracted, but I've updated the PBP now.You guys are all gonna be bailed out by @SlipperyPete12 bit this is classic uncontexted “wow” posts
I knew you would. I was just putting groceries away and missed it entirely so I was briefly miffed.I was surprised by that one & then got distracted, but I've updated the PBP now.
He should have just felt fortunate he didn't allow 3 and was able to flee the mat and only give up 1.Wow McHenry, good luck in the future. WoW you don't act like you're 2!
yea, but the urgency in the last 15 seconds could have come in handy in the first 6 minutesUh oh, took the L and probably lost a team point there. Kurt was fired up…
Yeah and when you only shoot in the last 24 seconds not sure you have much of a case.He should have just felt fortunate he didn't allow 3 and was able to flee the mat and only give up 1.
Well it kinda shoulda been given in the pierce match.. lolCan anyone remember the last time they saw a D1 ref give non-stalling penalty point for fleeing the mat? I can’t. Is it still a thing in the rule book?
It could be called a ton, IMO. And doing so would quiet some of the calls to add a step out to folk.Well it kinda shoulda been given in the pierce match.. lol
TJ made no attempt to get off his back!He must be strong asf. He looks so small next to Stewart but had no problem pushing him around.
You know who my favorite desperate housewife is……..you!!!!I knew you would. I was just putting groceries away and missed it entirely so I was briefly miffed.
Looks like there was a team point deducted—110.5 now. And rightly so.I wouldn't be surprised if Casey sits Kurt out of the 5th place match.
Not unless they changed the rules, but did McHenry already have a stall warning? Can anyone remember the last time they saw a D1 ref give non-stalling penalty point for fleeing the mat? I can’t. Is it still a thing in the rule book?
I would be shocked if he did.I wouldn't be surprised if Casey sits Kurt out of the 5th place match.
So it’s not a thing? It should be for flagrant fleeing, IMO.Not unless they changed the rules, but did McHenry already have a stall warning?
YesNot unless they changed the rules, but did McHenry already have a stall warning?
I don’t know the rules like I used to, but they changed fleeing to stalling. It cost PSU a match against Minnesota probably 10 years ago or so when Zack Beitz was dinged a point for fleeing and it should have been a stall warning. So it’s not a thing? It should be for flagrant fleeing, IMO.
Did you see him slapping his opponents hand when ref asked him to shake hands?I guess more was shown live. The replay shows him animated, but not so incredibly out of line as to potentially sit him.
Thanks JTI don’t know the rules like I used to, but they changed fleeing to stalling. It cost PSU a match against Minnesota probably 10 years ago or so when Zack Beitz was dinged a point for fleeing and it should have been a stall warning.
I was assuming here, McHenry already had a warning.
yesDid you see him slapping his opponents hand when ref asked him to shake hands?
Read about Lou Banach of Iowa. Competed when Heavyweight was unlimited. Won 2 National Titles(only 3 years eligible ,got beat his junior year ). He pinned 350 pound Tab Thacker, and beat 400 pound Shelton in semis his junior year . He weighed around 210 pounds.I disagree. 220 is a difficult weight to win a championship. I know everyone will say "Snyder', but other than him, who else has done it while under 230? I would much rather see an athletic and quick 235-240 pounder than a 220 because that weight difference counts on the mat.
