How many points in the finals matches? 4 plus any bonus? How many do Army and OK have in the finals?
They’re still wrestling the other placement matches, so it’s not as simple as projecting finalist points. How many points in the finals matches? 4 plus any bonus? How many do Army and OK have in the finals?
I’m in charge here! For a minute, I read Ryder's opponent to be "Al Haig."
Which would have been something...
Or call stalling for backing out. One or the otherWhy did ref stop that. Injury? If so, shouldn't Connor have had choice?
PSU vs Army in the heavyweight final. Cole Mirasola VS #1 Lucas Stoddard of ARMY. Maybe that'll be the deciding match? How many do Army and OK have in the finals?
He finished 2nd to Crookham as a SR. Still a good run for an undervalued prospect.Respectable run for Connor Pierce, kid never even made the finals in PIAA's.
I believe he did, lost to CrookhamRespectable run for Connor Pierce, kid never even made the finals in PIAA's.
Not with an ankle like thatI wonder if jordan Williams can get down to 141?
Stoddard was on the national team wasn't he?PSU vs Army in the heavyweight final. Cole Mirasola VS #1 Lucas Stoddard ARMY. Maybe that'll be the deciding match?
The Banach Brothers story is truly a great history of overcoming human setbacks. For those not familiar research their life .He won his soph and senior years, 3rd his junior.
His RSF year, Dean Phinney wrestled Unl for Iowa and placed 3rd, but Lou was eligible to wrestle. Lou's twin brother Ed won gold at 177 that year.
Your point is correct though, Lou was a very strong small heavyweight and was very dominant in a field of literal giants.
Lou came up to my section one year at nationals looking for Coach Lorenzo. We ended up talking for half an hour. It was a cool visit. The reason he was looking for Lorenzo was he heard Rich didn't get a ticket down below so he came up to switch seats with him. Somebody had already taken care of the typical PSU screwup and Lorenzo was sitting in the lower bowl, but very thoughtful of Lou.
That's right, he did lose to crookham. He finished 2nd to Crookham as a SR. Still a good run for an undervalued prospect.
He was on the U23 team. He won 125kg gold at Pan Am championships, but the rest of the team won gold too, so not the stiffest competition.Stoddard was on the national team wasn't he?
And he beat a guy named Petersen!Hey guys, Brown University has a SS champ! Ignore that third period guys!
I had no idea.......truly an amazing story! Never knew they had so many siblings and especially appreciated Steve's story. Got a glimpse of his story before the Soldiers Salute Tourney but enjoyed reading it in more detail here. I attended the Iowa 28 Day Intensive Camp in the late 70's and got to meet (and get pushed by 😛) Ed and Lou. That was before there great achievements. The Banach Brothers story is truly a great history of overcoming human setbacks. For those not familiar research their life .
I've missed you LP....The way they are pacing these finals, you would think this tournament was worth a shit.
Three pins by PSU and Army being deducted a team point does seem unlikely.if my back of the envelope math is correct, army just clinched.
but if psu did get those pins, would mchenry have to walk home?Three pins by PSU and Army being deducted a team point does seem unlikely.
Nah. A few guys left bonus points on the table. Also, 4 didn't place of the 9 who participated.but if psu did get those pins, would mchenry have to walk home?
And David Taylor's contact lenses....Equipment staff provides Ryder with Brooks’ old head gear
