Phlly's giving it everything they have so far...impressed with the effort. If the Pens get the first goal though it might break their backs
Giroux get hit completely away from the play by Herman Munster and no call. BS. Time to crush Crosby if that’s the way they want to play.
I guess it doesn't matter. I haven't admittedly been to a Flyers' game in Philly in at least 5 years. Maybe they are all Penn grads at their games these days.
Or, maybe not.

You mean where he didn’t even trip him. I guess that makes us “Cryers”. Every Pens penalty gets matched up with a mystery Flyers call to go 4-on-4. Officiating is a joke. “Pens know how to work the refs”. (Boy are their jaws tired). Wokka wokka wokkaBrutal tripping call against the Flyers.
@mikemauti42, @supermatt24 LMAO
Mauti, you better run back over to the Lair. See what trouble they're starting.
“Your lips move, but I can’t hear what you’re saying. . .”Hey look who shows up when the Flyers win and hides when they lose. Tough to respect someone like that

You mean like that little troll Nit16?
Simmonds has been hurt most of the year, despite 24 goals telling a different story. Truth is, he buttered his bread on PP and later in the season, they put Patrick in his spot in front of the net, so that is drying up for him too. He played a hard style for many years, and I think it is catching up to him. He is 29 and moves like he is 39. He has one year left on his deal, and my hope is that he moves on after it is up, Flyers core is built for regular season success, they just are not playoff competitors. Giroux is best suited as a number two line player. He does not react well to having to carry the load. Yes, he has moments, but his is a potential unfulfilled. Great season this year, but he is 30. Typical trend is for players to peak at 24-26. Flyers future is bright, every win in this series is gravy, and it puts the Pens that much further behind in head to head!!! Ha ha ha!!!Well summarized.
I can remember just a few years ago the same nucleus of flyers (Giroux, Simmonds,..) getting down in a game by 2+ goals and come storming back to tie the game or some times even win it. And that is what I was expecting in this series, even if the Pens got off to good starts in individual games. It's really been a big disappointment, as far as playoff intensity and expecting a competitive hard fought series, which playoff hockey usually is.
What happened to Simmonds? He's used to set the tone of play for the flyers, but in now playing like he has 2 bad knees. I had to look him up on Wikipedia to find out he is only 29 years old, as he is playing like he is 40.... If he is healthy and playing like he is, I don't expect him to be with the flyers next year.
Not as many as the Pens have had to start their putrid franchise. Learn your history little man!! Because it is going to be your future too!!! Woooooo!!!!...congrats on that win. Your chances of winning the series went from 1% to 5%. I’m here. The Pens lost but I am man enough to own it which is what Flyers fans can’t do(even though they’ve had plenty of seasons to get used to it)
Still here, and not delusional.[/
Ha ha ha. That the best you got??

Take it easy. Plenty of flyers fans are man enough to own it. Neither team is as superior or inferior as people are blathering. It’s a series. Let’s enjoy it....congrats on that win. Sorry, the truth hurt your feelings. Flyers all time head to head are so far ahead of the Pens it is ridiculous. For crying out loud, what is a rivalry if you can’t give digs??You made sense until you started trying to make a case that head to head means something to the Pens, as opposed to Stanley Cup Championships.... which is the only thing the players and fans care about....
No one cares who finished 2nd. And no one even remembers who finished 3rd or 4th..... An no one will recognize the flyers as a franchise until they win something in our lifetimes....
It's like the fact that Crosby has more points per game against the flyers than against any other team. It's only sweat to him because it led to getting to the SC playoffs, and then actually winning Cups.
I have witnessed a cup, so there you go. You really need to put your mommy and daddy’s computer down and go play with your toys. The only history you should be concerned about is you have never witnessed the Flyers win the cup. How does that feel by the way?
Chipped Scrapple from a Wawa/Sheetz MegaStore Gas Station!!! With a 44oz SodaPop to wash it down!!Chipped Ham vs. Scrapple

It doesn't matter that the Flyers dominated the series before the '90s. Total nonsense. Geez, no one here has a degree from the Philadelphia Flyers or the Pittsburgh Penguins. We don't visit their campuses on homecoming and reminisce about our college years there. We don't tie our livelihood to degrees received from these hockey teams. We don't send our kids to the Flyers or the Penguins for their college education.
They're just hockey teams. Boom. I'm a Flyers fan. No, wait. Boom. I'm a Penguins fan. See, that's easy. Big f*cking deal.
The guy who happens to be a Flyers fan is not better because a random bunch of pros in red and black uniforms put a rubber puck in a net more than a random bunch of pros in black and gold uniforms did.
STOP. THE. ASSHOLERY.![]()

Bob: If I may, I wish to express a contrary opinion:
1. MAY THE ASSHOLERY CONTINUE UNABATED! (It is wildly entertaining.)
2. Please, oh puhleeze, let this series go to a seventh game. You wanna see, as Nitwit97 so colorfully put it, "Piggsburgh puckered sphincter time?" A Flyers win in Game 6 would do that in spades.
Go Sharks!
I thought that was Letang’s fault. Either way. I think the winner of CBJ/WSH May be spent (emotionally and physically), they have played five OT periods (so far).Pens will win this series, but I have hard time believing they move past next series.
Their D isn’t great and Murray has to many hiccups in goal. The SHG last night was horrible.
So when you were 2 years old your Dad told you the Flyers won a cup. The fact you are even arguing this is comical. Come back and have a discussion if the Flyers win it all. The Lowly Pirates have won a championship more recently. That’s pathetic
