Love the photos tikk10! Zain was so close to pinning Lavion Mayes in that photo! Mayes was one strong dude. I still love watching Zain compete in FS, but nothing can compare to his Folkstyle career and watching him brutalize his opponents from the top position. His top game was a thing of beauty; technique and terror rolled into one beautiful ball of pain! Sorenson's (prayers for you, Sir. You can win this battle!) and Pantaleo's psyche was probably never the same after wrestling Zain. Zain was and will always be one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. Great human being to boot!
I was hoping for the pin against Mayes.....just to relieve the pain Mayes was experiencing. I was feeling sorry for the guy. Brutal, and the national finals to boot, no pun intended.
Agreed. Straight up beast. Once in a generation wrestler who gave everything every time out. What a great guy I really hope he does well in free style
