While accepting the trophy for Citrus Bowl win Stoops puts CJF in his place when stating: “Dont let anyone question who the real blue and white is”. This in response to CJF taking a shot at UK at team pep rally. As the saying goes, don’t let your mouth write checks your ass can’t cash.

Something said at a pep rally is a bit different than a nationwide public network interview. Yet, coaches will use what they can to drum up anxiety and animosity in their team toward their opponent if possible.

Really? Ask UK when they'll sign up for a four game series. We can play them all at UK too if they like. Those guys are clowns, and acted like it. I will say their injury antics were definitely top notch though. Well coached indeed.

Everytime we had momentum they had an “injured” player. They learned this from watching the MSU game against us. Felton got “hurt” yet 2 plays later caught the winning TD. He healed quickly and miraculously.

Yup. On our final scoring drive they made sure to get a guy rolling around after a big play. Bush league. Or, SEC I guess.

This is pure gold. Lol. You don’t think UK would agree to a 4-game series with PSU? All at home? What are you smoking or are you just that ignorant? UK would gladly play a home and home with PSU. Gladly. But before that were to occur you’d have to change your philosophy on scheduling out of conference games against the likes of Villanova and the Little Sisters of the Poor. Very very few P5 teams play an OOC schedule as weak as PSU.

We’re talking football. Still game?

Like I said in the game thread. Second rate program and this was their high water mark. Those comments prove it. This season is mercifully over, I'm not sure it's possible the 2019 edition can be more frustrating than the 2018 version

Good game today and good luck to Penn State next year.I think Coach Stoops comments may go back to when Franklin was coaching at Vanderbilt. I think he was still bitter at Franklin running up the score in the last minute when the game could have been finished with a kneel down.

Central Michigan, Middle Tennessee, Murray State, and for 2019 powerhouses Toledo, Eastern Michigan, and wowee, Murray State.

The 2018 team really reminds me of the 1992 or 1993 team. I think we may see the same dynamic where one year soon we are dominant (e.g., 1994). There is too much talent for this not to happen.

Yep. The phrase "act like you've been there before" came to mind more times than once. Then I realized, they haven't been there before. Let them hoot and holler. We had a chance to shut them up and couldn't do it. 4 minutes left and we let them run it down our throats. How in the world you don't put 9 people in the box and tell your DBs "good luck boys, you're on your own" with THAT QB is beyond me. One of the worst throwing QBs I've seen in quite some time. And we let their best player beat us when everyone knew he was getting the ball.

Also, and I hate this sounding like sour grapes, but they were talking trash all game. In the hour watching Iowa vs MSU before the Citrus Bowl, there were multiple flags for taunting. I wonder why Kentucky wasn’t flagged with all of their in your face crap after every play.

Next year Kentucky will be the Little Sisters if the Poor.

He's allowed; his team won!

Winners can walk the walk and talk the talk.

You make a vaild point but I will not be shocked if Kentucky doesn't see another bowl game before Stoops is gone. His team minus Snell and Allen will have a 6-6 record overall and a losing record in the SEC next season. Thinking Kentucky is suddenly a football power to be dealt with is the same as thinking PSU will become a threat in hoops. Enjoy your victory we'll see who plays on New Year's Day again next season.

This is spot on. Our D failed on the run.

Franklin ran up the score on Kentucky badly once at Vandy. Now at a much better program, he loses to them. Karma!

Look, we played like shit today, and every risk Franklin took blew up in his face. Call it karma if you wish. Enjoy the win. Kentucky played better today. All the mouthing off showed how desperately you wanted it.

Especially the first two downs when you know they are going to run

Franklin was a total idiot today and treated this like an exhibition game. Kentucky came to play. The fake punt was one of the dumbest calls since crazy O'Brien's 4th-down calls vs. Indiana. Franklin also needs to start kicking off when he wins the coin toss.

In 94, we had a ton of talent returning, minimal graduation losses. Not this time.

No doubt about it. We (players/staff & fans) definitely wanted it more. For us, it was a marquee bowl against a marquee opponent. For PSU, not so much. Probably why we were able to get such a big lead.

Maybe. But did we know what we had returning in 94. I remember Kerry Collins getting booed at the end of the last regular season home game against Illinois. And Dick Vermeil made his famous "this passing game sucks" comment earlier in the 93 season. That 94 team at least a little bit came out of nowhere.
