Stoops throws shade at CJF

Salty fan base with lots of excuses. I can’t imagine where all the entitlement comes
from with your history of scandal and
mediocrity.
PSU will be fine going forward, the OOC schedule is a joke and 9 teams in the BIG 10 are terrible.

While accepting the trophy for Citrus Bowl win Stoops puts CJF in his place when stating: “Dont let anyone question who the real blue and white is”. This in response to CJF taking a shot at UK at team pep rally. As the saying goes, don’t let your mouth write checks your ass can’t cash.
The real blue and white? Villanova:D.

Yep, they are the "real blue and white" for upsetting a beat-up PSU team having a down season, during one of their best seasons ever, in a game PSU still should have won if they didn't make a bunch of special teams mistakes.

In the end it was a meaningless exhibition game, and the outcome of it has no impact on my life. It was a mediocre end to a mediocre season.

How about the targeting? Or the late hit out of bounds that injured an old woman? Those seemed dirty to me.

That's because you view the world through Kentucky blue and white glasses. Sometimes a defender commits to a aggressive tackle and the WR ends up contorting in a manner that causes helmet to helmet contact. That doesn't make it dirty. If a defender wants to avoid H2H hits, do you think they should aim low like the PSU defender did, or aim high? As for the late hit out of bounds, it seemed like the Kentucky player who ran into the "old woman" was trying to oversell the little push to draw a penalty.

Really? Ask UK when they'll sign up for a four game series. We can play them all at UK too if they like. Those guys are clowns, and acted like it. I will say their injury antics were definitely top notch though. Well coached indeed.

You had a player faking an injury in UK's final drive, under 4 to go. Did you notice how the UK fans did not boo and injured player the way PSU fans did the entire second half?

So, the injury faking ratio is 4:1, in your favor, and you did it twice within 30 seconds on our final drive. Guess we have to do better.

Let's accept the truth about this game. Kentucky was better than we thought they would be. They have an experienced senior laden team with two exceptional players who will likely be first round draft picks. We have a freshmen and soph laden inexperienced team that has its best days ahead of them. This was Kentucky's once in a decade chance to have a 10-win season. We played them without our best defensive tackle and with a broken footed QB. By the end of the game it was clear that we were the better team but just came up short. We have nothing to be downtrodden about and can look forward to a better year next year. Kentucky will likely fall back to the bottom of the SEC for years to come.

Actuslly, no. I don't keep score in injuries. Not do I targeting calls. They happen. Maybe it's a Big Ten thing. When my kid played in Ann Arbor, Michigan fans were mocking and taunting our player as she was carried off the field, with what ended up being a season ending injury. She played 80 college games, and the Big Ten wascher worst fan base we played. Who taunts injured players? Well, I found out for sure yesterday. Btw, two of those players you all mocked have injuries today. Nice work.

The 2018 team really reminds me of the 1992 or 1993 team. I think we may see the same dynamic where one year soon we are dominant (e.g., 1994). There is too much talent for this not to happen.
Here we go again for 2019 . We have the talent . Drink the cool aid . We are and will be a average program .

There is bad blood between Stoops and Franklin. Franklin is despised in Kentucky. Stoops hates his guts and will always have UK ready to play a Franklin-coached team. We will be hyped every time we play his team. Franklin used a trick play to score when a game was already decided back in 2014 just to run up the score when he was at Vandy. The kind of play we will never forget. Fake a kneel down in victory formation only to throw a jump pass into the end zone to score with 55 seconds left in the game.

If you get a chance, look at Stoops after the fake punt failed. Stoops is yelling at Franklin across the field, “Bring it on, asshole”. You can read his lips.

UK and PSU will always have talented players our history is tied at 3-3 over the years. I hope we meet again in the future. Hopefully, you will have gotten rid of your dirt bag coach.

Your team ceiling is no higher than UK’s. The SEC is a tougher conference. If you can’t beat UK, how do you think you could handle Bama, Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU. You can’t win the Big 10

We were evenly matched. #12 versus #14. 4.5 point spread. Identical records

UK was just a little better than PSU today. It was an exciting game with good drama at the end.

Have a happy new year.

Go fu#k yourself. Stoops will be gone long before Franklin. Kentucky is a stepping stone job, not a destination.

It’s meaningless because you got beat. I’m sure if your team had won you’d be prancing around like a lunatic.

This team won the big ten two years ago and the fiesta bowl last year. No one here would be going full lunatic after winning the citrus bowl to cap off a mediocre season. Sorry.

I respect Penn State. I do. But you guys aren’t any more impressive than the SEC teams we play every year. Most of those schools have also won titles or contended for them recently. As for Franklin, I’m betting you fire him in less than 365 days.

I’ll take that bet.

And for most of your history, you lose to those teams on a consistent basis.

And you telling me this is like telling a Cubs fan they’ve won one World Series in a hundred years. This would be like me explaining to you that Penn State football has been consistently mediocre for the better part of this century. I’m sure you’re aware of that.

Yes, 5 top ten rankings with another 6 top 25 rankings in 18 years is mediocre for Penn State. For Kentucky, that would be the stuff of legends. This will be Kentucky's first top 25 finish in 35 years. Puff that chest out.

An average program finishes 6 - 6 every year and is ranked about number 45. By any measure we are much more than an average program.

You caught lightning in a bottle this year.Won ten games with a mature team and a couple of studs.Enjoy this now because later this year your one armed team will be back being b........slapped by any team with a pulse.

I was a the pep rally and a lot of it was the usual rah rah stuff. IIRC, I don't think CJF said that , but it might have been Tyoka Jackson our former DL and now on ESPN. Tyoka had his son on stage and did a likable Sinbad the comedian like act with his son. He had his son roar for the lions and meow for KY, and a few similar things. Tyoka said our blue was the strong blue and not the baby blue. It was cute and funny.

Huh? Why would a PSU player, on a thin defense where there is significant drop-off from 1 to 2 (other than Koa Farmer), fake an injury in that situation? UK was not in a hurry-up mode -- in fact, the opposite -- and the (supposedly fake) injured player would have to come out for one of the what PSU needed to be only three defensive plays on the drive.

Please explain your logic.

The better part? If you're thinking this century, yeah - we had probably our worst five year stretch in modern history (from 2000 - 2004) and a record of something like 26-33. Since then, we've not had a losing record. And 'this century', four of those awful years included, we're 149-79. That includes three B1G Championships, a 6-6 Bowl Record, and five 11 win seasons. All that including unjust sanctions that led to no worse than three consecutive 7 win seasons.

Kentucky, on the other hand, is 95-124 over that same time period and is 4-4 in bowls. Until this year, your best win total was 8. You had at least nine losing seasons. I get you guys are happy, and should be, but your football knowledge is laughable.

LMAO
You guys talk like you are Alabama, Clemson, Ohio state kinda program. You are not. What have you done in those terms lately? You had one top 5 level team with Barkley that lost a shoot out in the rose bowl, other than that team when have you had all these 1-2 loss teams?
At least the Kentucky fans know where they currently stand in the college football landscape.
Ohio state is clearly the best program in the big 10, then Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan state and penn state have kinda took turns being next.
The fact is you’ve had 4 seasons of less than 3 losses in the last 20 years, you’ve finished in the AP post season top 5 exactly once in the last 20 years.
You have had 12 seasons of 4 or more loses in the last 20 years. The truth is this season you had a slightly BETTER than average season over the last 20. Had you won the citrus bowl it would have been in the top 5 best seasons of the last 20 years.
So quit acting like this season was some anomaly down year and Kentucky beat the worst penn st team in decades because it simply isn’t true. What you are is a solid program with a rich football history, you came 1 game short of your BEST 3 year run in sometime. You are not on Mount Rushmore. Your team, a good (not great), penn state team played their hearts out Saturday and at least I appreciate that. They got out executed for most of the game and then beat on the line of scrimmage with the game on the line.
Quit belittling your own players by saying “your best Kentucky team beat our worst team”. You have had far worse teams over the past 20 years.
Your team is solid, appears it’s fans are snobs with terrible memories.

That’s too bad. I thought they were a ton of fun to watch and idk how any football fan couldn’t love McSorley. The young LB’s are off the chain. Lost a close one OSU. Idk what’s so bad.

I can do math my friend and I’ve watched a lot of football. You need a link to the last 20 years?
As I said you are a solid program, one I’ve followed my whole life. But you are not a fear striking one. I can assure you the folks in Kentucky were happy to see penn state. They have been playing much greater monsters for many years. Why is it so hard to pay respect to people that earned it. It would be different if your team didn’t come to play like UGA or Michigan. They played their asses off, as did Kentucky. They just couldn’t get a stop.

Expectations were high. Mistakes were made, many that unfortunately looked very similar to mistakes from seasons past. Losing close ones to osu 3 out of 4 years doesn’t leave a good taste in most people’s mouths. It’ll be the same story next year, and likely the rest of Franklin’s tenure, if the team loses two or more games. He raised expectations, this is a side effect.

It wasn’t a great season. The team that showed up for the first half was the team that showed up more often than not this year. Shit happens.

Many here, myself included, don’t think this team came to play until well into the second half. When you fall behind 10-0 to a team with one first down on the day it’s safe to say you didn’t come out hot.

LOL. Ok. But, quit trying to have it both ways - can't be the best win in program history for UK (and everyone is acting like it is) but Penn State is a mediocre team and has sucked for the past 20 years (if you can do math, you know we're in the Top 20 over that time span in terms of win %, despite the worst five year stretch in program history). On that same list are Wisconsin, Ohio State, Auburn, LSU, Bama, and Florida. Again, math - you think because Bama wins a ton you get some sort of benefit. News for you - Saban couldn't cut it in the B1G and only in the land of free Dodge Chargers does he get it done now. Take care.

Ahh
So you see it as “we didn’t play until the 4th quarter”. I saw it more as Kentucky’s coaches got vanilla too soon and their players relaxed. I think you were a great play by McSorley on 3rd and a bunch (gotta love that kid, he’s a gamer) from possibly getting waxed. But I thought the 1st half was just a defensive struggle. Defense has been Kentucky’s calling card all year and imo also the strength of penn state so I wasn’t surprised at a low scoring close game. #1 for Kentucky is a gamebreaker, I was shocked he kicked it to him.
