Suriano vs Fix

Suriano starts on bottom and up and out. Rutgers challenges looking for locked hands call.. no locked hands. We finally continue. These challenges take way too long

If this match is going to be decided on seconds of riding time, I'm not sure how bad it would've been for it to have been decided on a locked hands call. I mean, this is already a disappointment with neither guy taking any risk.

Sounds like the paint on the fence is getting drier & drier.

I can tell the grass grew a little taller as well.

Not sure why refs are being blamed for that disaster, other than the length of time it took to review the first locked hands call. But two of the three locked hands reviews came from the coaches, and the hands to the face was the right call, regardless that it's a shame to end any SV like that. That it wasn't entertaining is on the wrestlers unwilling to commit to any offense whatsoever.

Not a good match to hype and grow the sport. No offense. Crazy delays with ticky tack challenges. Ends on a penalty that could have been called the entire match but they waited until SV2.

Ashnault beats Gfeller in a tight one. Starts doin the finger guns towards the bench of OSU. Gfeller shoves him. Heated dual, here.

Team points deducted all around! Unlike the Fix Suriano 40 minute snooze fest, this was a great match....I was just saying to my friend I kinda like Ash. Then he goes all Yosemite Sam with the guns to crowd and proves me wrong.

Everyone's going to make this point about hands to the face, but in this particular instance it was a mercy killing.
Those 2 made a compelling case to reinstate the old rule, that after regulation the ref picks the winner for whatever reason strikes him at the moment.

I wonder how many of you will call out John Smith for what he did after a Gfeller reversal? The pistols firing thing... which Ashnault did.... So to recap:

John Smith does pistols firing.

Ashnault does it.

Ashnault gets shoved.

Ashnault loses a team point too for telling the guy who shoved him to bring it.

That's a five year-old's argument. "He did it first". Besides, everyone knows Smith is a jerk already. I guess you think that justifies AA acting like a jerk, too.

And what he did is hardly something you want to celebrate.

Video? I'd like to see it if it did happen.
