“Almost exactly”?This game played out almost exactly as Michigan played against PSU. I look forward to the talk about how PSU outplayed OSU in the second half and found themselves for the rest of the season.
Not quite

Repetitive mistakes are an inexcusable and undeniable sign of poor coaching.
Problem is that is all you’ll ever get from him.I personally am proud of the team. 10-2 with a bowl game, we are LUCKY to have Franklin.
I realistically didn't expect a win, but I did expect a team playing in their 11th game of the season to not make stupid mistakes at critical junctures. Were you prepared to expect a win today?
Um, like Baltimore’s Trace McSorley? Here it is ... 11 wins, 9 wins, 9 wins ....Have to wonder what Franklin could do with an elite dual threat QB. TM and Clifford are capable QBs, but imagine this game with Fields as our QB.

Matt Rhule isn't interested in coming back to PSU. He's quite comfortable at Baylor.Let me guess cabana boy ... hIrE mAtT rHuLe?

Come on Gregg - look up the definition of SARCASM!
And, you truly feel that the mental mistakes by this team - illegal procedure 3-4 times, Shorter cutting off his route a yard and a half short of the sticks, OL standing around while the running play is still in progress - is on the coaches?I realistically didn't expect a win, but I did expect a team playing in their 11th game of the season to not make stupid mistakes at critical junctures.
He’s older than Day.Tough gutty effort against a great team on the road. We will get them next year at home unless some total idiots in our fan base run our great young coach off.
RULE #1 - Take the other team’s best player out of the game.
SO
It’s like our staff didn’t even know Chase Young existed, let alone played football. He spent more time in our backfield than any of our running backs. PATHETIC, ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!

It’s why kids go to OSU - better at promoting.Do you think the announcers ever bothered to do any prep on Penn State? Wade and Parsons are five star kids who are playing unbelievably. Have they spent any time talking about them outside of remarking when they make a play?
Good!Matt Rhule isn't interested in coming back to PSU. He's quite comfortable at Baylor.
Can every Peetz pool boy post show up on the Pitt board. There is no difference in the commentary and will fit in better.
We played a great team tough at their place.
Proud of PSU.
I thought Franklin coached a better game today. Day’s got a better team. He’s older than Day.
Gotta wonder if that's coaching or just an inexperienced player in a high pressure situation.I don’t know. We were faking handoffs with 20 yards for a 1st down to go. Bizarre
Pretty much everyone has a bad day if you’re matched up against Chase Young 1 on 1 for most of the day.Fries having a very bad day
Perhaps even the same person.Just wish the board would work properly so we can block his annoying schtick, just as bad as wolve
Why are they wearing sports bras?
Fries barely got a hand on Young. It's not like Fries got run over. It's more like he wasn't even there.RULE #1 - Take the other team’s best player out of the game.

Same can be said for every opponent on OSU's schedule. Dude is nearly unblockable.RULE #1 - Take the other team’s best player out of the game.

Respectfully disagree. Mistakes happen in games because of poor attention to details during intra-week practice. It doesn't matter that PSU lost and that OSU was allegedly better on paper. What we observed today was a lack of adequate preparation coupled with untimely mistake-based execution. So well coached teams don’t make mistakes this time of year? That is your evaluation criteria?
You can twist it any way you want, but OSU was vastly superior to Penn State in terms of talent an no amount of coaching was going to change that today. Teams make more mistakes when playing better competition in harsher crowd environments. It’s a football fact.
The best we could hope for was that they would shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers to even make it a game.
This ain’t on the coaches.
Idk about Fields - tough to determine nfl transition. But McSorley was a top elite dual college quarterback and had Barkley and Godwin and that was Franklin’s record. You had asked. Franklin is Mark Richt at Georgia ... good annual 10 win teams for a decade but that’s all you’ll get from him. It’s why players who want more go to OSU.With Barkley, Barkley, and Sanders. And Godwin. TM punched above his weight class, but he'll probably never start an NFL game. Fields will start one before TM does.
Well he did make him go the long way though so there’s that!Fries barely got a hand on Young. It's not like Fries got run over. It's more like he wasn't even there.

Seriously? You honestly think that?
