Wow. I do not believe that I have ever seen this in a draft.

Targeting a guy to get the tee with their undrafted free agents.

If I'm not mistaken, AB and Brady were picked in the 6th round. Is Kevin Colbert trying to get fired?
 
It happens but still a questionable move imo. There are a lot of LS available both coming out of college and ones that have been on other teams in the past and still trying to get a contract. And none of them are really any better or worse than the next guy. Not sure why they thought this particular snapper was so much better than any other guy they could get as a FA a day later.

OTOH if you can draft a guy that will be on your team for 10 yrs with a 7th rounder, good move, Imo. The other guys you mentioned floating around, if they could do it, the other team would not have released him.

Yea but they could have gotten that LS that's going to be on the team for 10 years in FA .
