I respect and genuinely like Chief. I don't follow you and can't attribute those crazy comments to you. That said, I have personally seen most of those things written over at the Iowa board. But, I am not at the wrestling boards all that often.

The consensus of HR can be boiled down to any number of absurd conspiracy theories as to why PSU is beating everyone. There is an actual reason, though. Cael Sanderson is a better coach and a better recruiter. Kids want to go to PSU. That's it. The answer isn't going to be found by calling around to athletic departments.
Congrats on your victory guys. Sadly it went about the way I expected it. I wonder if Iowa coaches are going to be talking about the cradle defense this week in practice...LOL! Though I expected our 74 and 84 guys to get pinned, I didn't expect it to happen in a minute and 47 seconds, respectively...ugh!! Thankfully we'll feel better next week after tossing Iowa State around the match for a while. See you fellas at the B10s...

Banjo, I generally think your comments to be level headed. Matter and I are not saying that it is his decision or that he shouldn't do what is best for him. We are merely expressing that we, obviously tainted by our blue and white glasses, wonder why any wrestler of his caliber would not want to be on this cruiseliner. With TKFR, this team would be unstoppable, that is a statement of fact.

I have ZERO idea how scholarships work. I heard that scholarships can be based on performance for partial sports. Is that true? because if NS was held out of nationals, and then gets a smaller scholarship as a sophmore, and the money was used to recruit his weight, he probably thought that was across the line. I don't think Cael would do that. I think that guys just switched commitments to PSU. Here is the thing, I HAVE NO IDEA IF WHAT I JUST WROTE IS TRUE OR RELEVANT. I AM NOT EVEN SPECULATING. Hell, what if Nick got a kitten, and Cael, thinking it was mean, broke its neck, had it stuffed, and handed it to Nick with a note that said "kittens are for weaklings". Winning wouldn't matter much, right?
AGAIN ABOVE ARE JUST EXAMPLES OF WHY SOMEONE MAY NOT CARE ABOUT THE WINNING AND TEAM STUFF AND NOT AT ALL SPECULATION OR INSINUATION OR ANY OF THAT CRAP. HYPERBOLE FOR THE SAKE OF EXAMPLE.
My point is just that so much MAY have happened. None of us know what DID happen. Some lines could have been crossed. What if Nick tried to hit on Cael's wife or something (doubt Cael would have given him a real congrats like he did if that were the case)? (or again, Cael could have killed a kitten).

haha, I was trying to make a point and picked something I couldn't possibly believe Cael is capable of lol.
