Tomlin shoulda went all in after he was outed calling the Patriot's a 'bunch of a***holes'. Once that was out you can't put it back in so then you just go for it. And really pour it on.

He should have said, "Yeah I said that because it is true. They got caught illegally stealing signs. No wonder Brady get rids of the ball in 2.2 seconds....he knows the defensive signals! Anyone can win when you know what the defense is going to do every play!

They got caught with deflated balls! Brady is not known for rifle bullet passes and his passes often have considerable wobble. If he played with a fully inflated ball, they would be even more wobbly.....maybe throwing a few more pics. And deflated balls are easier for the receivers and even the running backs.

When we go to their stadium, there are always communications issues. Their system always malfunctions, usually at critical times. And its not just us, other teams say the same thing. With modern technology, there is no excuse for such terrible performance.

They are cheaters, always have been. Belichik always pushes the limit on the rules. Its what they do"

That would have produced a firestorm that lasted all week. Every one of the Pats would have been asked about it all week. It would have distracted the players from their game prep. It would also increase the intensity of the game, which fits into the Steeler's style of intimidation.

And it would have been really, really fun to watch!!

You don't think the Steeler players would have been asked about all week too? Do you realize that prior to the Defensive player (a LB usually) have a radio Helmut like the QBs do that all the teams ad I mean all the teams were stealing signals too. What New England did was actual film them.

Here's how they did it, all teams have pro scouts they do the advance scouting for upcoming opponents (as well as evaluate players for Free Agency). They do more personnel evaluations (ie we can pick on this CB, etc) and personnel grouping tendencies, not so much the x's & o's side of things.

Well they would sit up in the box with binoculars and a voice recorder. They watched the Defensive signaler and dictate the signals used for each defensive play, this is for multiple advanced games. Then they would go back and watch the film and look for tendencies of signals with coverages, blitzes, etc. Then when games day rolls around that advanced scot would sit in the coaches box, watch the Defensive signaler and call out the expect "weak side Blitz" or that they are going to be in cover 3. The OC on the head set with the QB would relay that info to the QB. That's how just about all the teams were stealing Defensive signals before the Def player got a radio Helmut.

I'm not dismissing what the Pats did, just letting you know what was going all with all of them.

This^^^^^ It's not like Tomlin is ever gonna be a head coach up there...and it's not like anyone doesn't know it....Belichick is the most hated coach in the NFL...and you can bet Goodell has let the refs know how much he doesn't wanna have to present a trophy to them in 2 weeks...
