I hate to say it but you've gotta recognize game.
They are outstanding. Very creative. They put on half time shows worth watching.
It's a shame that TV doesn't show the bands, especially the pregame entrances, instead of the shouting heads garbage and the redundant halftime highlights. They are outstanding. Very creative. They put on half time shows worth watching.
What does that say to the mentality of the people who put the product on the air? I want to watch a game, not see people making asses out of themselves. It's a shame that TV doesn't show the bands, especially the pregame entrances, instead of the shouting heads garbage and the redundant halftime highlights.
The pregame shows on ESPN and Fox have become unwatchable, with the wahoos in the background with their whacky signs and the hosts acting like clowns and playing to the wahoos. Wouldn't it have been better to show the TA&M Band with their intricate maneuvers last week before the ND game than having to hear talking heads talk about games that already had been played hous ago and showing highlights that anybody who's interested already would've seen? What does that say to the mentality of the people who put the product on the air?
OMG they are not just boring but embarrassing. Marketing always sells to the consumer market watching that show. So college football is full of pizza, beer and chicken wing commercials. So it is embarrassing to me that these shows are targeted, apparently, to geeked-up frat boys on a bender. Perhaps I will start a streaming show with people who do "For the Bloggy" that has programming for people who love the game and the 3-D chess-like strategy on the game within the game. The pregame shows on ESPN and Fox have become unwatchable, with the wahoos in the background with their whacky signs and the hosts acting like clowns and playing to the wahoos. And it's even worse once the game starts! But I do love listening to Matt Mullen!😂The pregame shows on ESPN and Fox have become unwatchable, with the wahoos in the background with their whacky signs and the hosts acting like clowns and playing to the wahoos. Yeah, I've went to a few OSU games at home with my OSU graduate son and the OSU band is off the charts - simply outstanding.......maybe the best out thereThey are outstanding. Very creative. They put on half time shows worth watching.
I have to tell you that one of my most memorable events at an away game was when I attended the Skull Sessions at St. John's Arena before the OSU games in 1998 and 2004. If you can appreciate other schools' traditions, it's a great experience as you hear the drum cadence approaching as they enter St. John's Arena. I also always attended the Blue Band Pregame Concerts when they did them at the BJC.OMG they are not just boring but embarrassing. Marketing always sells to the consumer market watching that show. It says that they're catering to teenagers and people in their 20s because you and I are going to watch football. What does that say to the mentality of the people who put the product on the air? I want to watch a game, not see people making asses out of themselves.
What I like about their band is that it's only the band and not any flag twirlers, etc. I also love how they dress with ties.Yeah, I've went to a few OSU games at home with my OSU graduate son and the OSU band is off the charts - simply outstanding.......maybe the best out there
Yep, no gimmicks or BS, the OSU band just plays and throws great music at youWhat I like about their band is that it's only the band and not any flag twirlers, etc. I also love how they dress with ties.
