Tough loss for the Eagles

Not a fan of that holding call at the end. Ticky tack call to me.
Yeah, but if it wasn't called people would be saying it should have been (there was a clear hold when JuJu came out of his first break) as no matter what the refs do people will complain.

Eagles lost because Reid outcoached Sirianni, the poor punt coverage and the offense allowing a TD. It wasn't because of the refs.

Don't like that the officiating and the horrible field conditions were the story.
Just bizarre to make that call when it was not anywhere close to egregious or kept the receiver from making the catch. Just unfortunate the refs play such a big role and essentially decide the game. Not a good look for the NFL. It could have been an epic finish and they just decide it themselves.

With all that said, the Philly defense looked atrocious in the 2nd half. I would have thought they could play better.

That penalty call was not necessary and didn’t impact the play. Terrible look for the league after what was an outstanding game.
This is all nonsense. There was a hold--and the game was far from outstanding. Both defenses were poor. Sirianni couldn't adjust in the second half.

Fix was in for chiefs tonight and through playiffs
Come on. The refs didn't win them this game. If you want to claim they shouldn't have gotten past Cincy fine but KC didn't lose because of the refs. They lost because KC was far better than them in the second half.

The field conditions can be criticized without it being whining. It's ridiculous to me that in the Super Bowl you have guys sliding around like olympic curling because there's so much paint on the field. Yes both teams had to play on it. So what, does that make it ok that in the biggest game of the year the field is in terrible shape? The league is more worried about appearances and posturing than making sure the field is in top shape for the biggest game of the season and maybe they should concentrate more on the competition people are tuning in to watch. It's pretty ridiculous.

Other than Ju Ju runs to the spot and likely catches a TD.

And don’t forget the refs took points off tbe Board on Sanders fumble and put Eagle points on board with the non-catch by TE.

Hey, Eagles are a great team (better than Chiefs) and played a great game.

But there is only 1 Patrick Mahomes.

Field was a disgrace (like Heinz Field).

Forget the last penalty, this was a stupidly coached second half by both coordinators who are more worried about their next job rather than the one they still have. What happened to the defense? It was nonexistant for most of the game. The Eagles got faked out by a nothing injury to Mahomes. He should be in line for the Oscar for that performance. The NFL spent $800K on a field that should support ice skating rather than football. This city should be more known for getting there and losing, rather than ever winning it. The record speaks for itself and it makes me sick.

KC the next NE. Just get them out of KC for the AFC championship game. They always host it seemingly.
Winning does that. But in reality, they’ve lost more championship games in KC than they’ve won even going back the the Marty Shottenheimer days.

Yep. I'm not an eagles fan. Grew up with the steelers. I can still see that the game take aways were poor officiating and field conditions.

Bradbury took the high road and said it was a hold. Said he tugged the jersey and “thought he could get away with it”. Tough loss, Eagles out coached in the second half, D didn’t come through, couldnt take down a gimpy Mahomes.

this thread is precious....can someone change the thread title to Super Bowl gripe thread? I mean you got bad officiating - they missed this call and blew that one, turf was crappy, fix was in, coaching, fake injury. And that is just the game itself, not the pregame, halftime, or commercials.

Were you not entertained?

Philly coaches totally out coached in second half. Those 2 touchdown passes Andy Reid unpantsed the defensive coordinator. Not sure how smart it was bringing in Vic fangio as consultant who was 0-6 against Reid chiefs

Because it was a hold.

Andy made a great move in the 2nd half using Kelcey as a decoy and finally throwing to the other WR's. It seemed that the Eagles just did not adjust and kept putting 2-3 defenders on Kelcey leaving other receivers wide open.

As far as the holding call, just take a look at the fumble by the Eagles WR that was called an incompletion. He caught the ball turned and took a step forward when he was hit and lost the ball. The Eagles didn't loose that game because of the refs, Andy out coached the Eagles down the stretch.

BS. I'm not even an eagles fan and can say there’s no way that was a completed catch before the hit. That is absurd.

Complaining about field conditions is for whiners. Both teams play on the same field.
You may be right, but for as big as the Super Bowl has become, there's no absolutely no reason to have players slipping on logos! Everybody knows it's the Super Bowl, so just do away with them altogether. It wouldn't hurt their "show" one bit!

I thought the biggest play of the game was the drop by Hurts that gave KC a free td! Feel so bad for him.

They can put a logo on your screen the same as they paint the yellow first down stripe. I think the field conditions go beyond the excessive paint. That field was an ice rink. Why was it so bad and how could they have not figured it out before the game?
