Manziel was a baller at aTm, so I understand that comparison. Outside of football...none.
That list is horrible! Then again all of these lists are bad... The Heisman is crap, so are all conference teams. They are all popularity contests that are severely hindered by the starting position at the beginning of the season and biased by the "looks test". I'm not saying that McSorely should be higher, I'm saying that they basically just took the starting QBs from the top X teams and put them at the top of the list. Jalen Hurts is NOT a good QB, certainly not one of the top 10 in the country. Neither is J.T. Barrett.
Yeah, but Manziel was a much more dynamic runner than Trace. Trace makes others on his team better while Manziel was a better "pure" athlete. I'll take Trace, thank you.

While reviewing the list, it is odd that Barrett is above Trace. One needs to look no further than their 2016 stats. Trace had approx 1000 more passing yards and 5 more passing tds and 20 points higher in qb rating.

Complete agree - Cannnot understand the Barrett hype - he stinks as a passer - shut or contain the running like we did and he is ineffective.

Trace is going to have to work very hard during the off-season to become a major douchebag asshole to make comparisons to manizel legitimate. Some people have a gift of being major douchebag assholes. Others have to continuously work hard at it. Trace is in the latter camp, but I don't think he is up to it.
