Does anyone know if we will see Law at 133 next weekend in the Wisconsin and Northwestern matches?

Also, What do you all think that realistic expectations are for Law if he does take over at 133?

Also, Would Kade Moss be able to go down to 133 by any chance? I know thats probably a long shot and doubt that he certified for 133.

Has Moss even recovered from his injury?

But the word was Law and Carpenter will wrestle off once Law makes the cut. So I'm not sure what the timetable is on that. I'd imagine we'd see a wrestle off soon.

For what it's worth, Law and Carpenter have one common opponent ... Scott DelVecchio of Rutgers. He beat Carpenter in the dual this year, 11-4. He beat Law at a tournament in February of last year, 7-6.

The ghost in the WrestleStat machine predicts an 11-4 win for Law over Carpenter.

I think we'll be lucky to qualify either for NCAAs. I doubt either would score anything in March, but let them wrestle off and go from there. There isn't anything else they can do about it.

True, short of a miracle run at the Big Ten tourney Law won't have enough matches and Carpenter won't have the record.

Believe he spells his first name with an "o", not an "a" (i.e., Triston). Hard to say imho - he was 6-6 wrestling unattached in open tournaments last year and he's a rsFR this year. Here is a link to his bio at PSU's Athletic Website - HIT IT.

How many matches are needed to qualify for Nationals?
Only has to wrestle in the Conference Tourney...and they can do that with 0 previous bouts. Wrestlers need 8 matches in their weight class against D1 competition to earn an allocation slot for the Big Ten Conference...but they punch their ticket by finishing inside that number of slots at the Conference Tourney. And they can do that, as noted, with "0" previous bouts. I agree with the posts that either state or suggest whoever goes at 133 faces an uphill climb.

In our upcoming Duals with Ohio State, Illinois and National Duals, we need someone at 133 who can hold the scoring to 3 or 4 teams points instead of 5 or 6.

When we get to tournament time, lets cross that bridge when we get there.

Cael could always send Law to a tourney to get Law near the 8 matches if staff is concerned about B1G allocation.
