Just got back from watching junior duals.

Go to Cellar Dweller Speakeasy. Just so we can have an inside joke.

Missed last year so Tulsa is ON MY LIST. Note: I watch the show "48 Hours"... some of the shows are based in Tulsa. I ask myself: "I'm going there?"
Holy smokes!!!! Airfare Minneapolis to Tulsa for next March: $722!!!!!!
$518 if I depart on Monday instead of Sunday.

I heard there was a charter flight out of state college to Tulsa being set up but that was 2 months ago. My flight was 525 out of Pittsburgh.

Child support? Just how young was your wife when you married her?

Hell, take her to Tulsa with you. Next time she drags you into court, tell the judge about your Tulsa trip and how good you are to her.
I have 3, ages are 21, 16 and 4. This was an ex gf of 6 years and she's the mother of my youngest. The x-wife is about done living off my back.

The x's are both older than me also. Both are 43.

I'm so glad my late father who almost never used profanity taught me it's not the the face your BEEPing, It's the BEEPing you're facing.

Coworker's brother has crazy(diagnosed) ex-wife. Wanted to refi the mortgage-save $250/month-she refused and wants to get back on his healthcare.

Thank God, I married a sane woman.

I’m going. In for at least two suite tickets, possibly four, if anyone gets the hookup. LET ME KNOW

Better set your budget for $20/gallon by next year if things keep going up at the rate they are now.
Current oil futures are <100.

If this crashes like I think it may come November oil should be +/- 70ish brl.

Which is good for drivers. But the overall economy may have other issues taking center stage then

Historically 100 dollar oil has equate to 3 to 3.25 gasoline. What the industry has done to the consumer has been obscene. 70 bucks a bbl you should expect a reasonable gasoline crash, but I am uncertain we see it. The industry is planning on shuttering another 1.8 MM bbl/day refining capacity.

Just saying.

You don't understand this.

First, markets don't care about "historically". and oil wasn't "historically" over $100/barrel from about June 2014 until March of 2022. Oil not only has extraction costs, but refining, storage and distribution costs. Are you making what you made eight years ago?

Second, You and I buy spot. Large industrial buyers (large railroads, airlines, or their suppliers, etc) secure their requirements months or years in advance in the futures markets. Anything that makes them fearful about supply, such as things like this:

Cause supply risk, so institutional buyers go out and buy more contracts, forcing up the price and leaving less for spot buyers to fight over.

Third, there's a logistical bottleneck in the supply in refining capacity. All the oil in the world is useless if there's a shortage of refining capacity. And you can't run refineries at high intensity forever, this interferes with routine routine maintenance and upgrades, elevating the risk of complete facility loss. Worse, refineries are aging.

(Although the Bloomberg link says "Are you a robot", its a link to a May 13 article on refining capacity.

Fourth, government get's its piece of the action. If you are in Pennsylvania, it's worse. We pay an estimated 57.6 cents per gallon, vs 25 cents give or take a nickle for most other states.

It was worsened by Corbett's transportation bill about a decade ago, and in spite of the advertising, a lot of gas tax money was/is diverted to crap like boutique locomotives for SEPTA, low emissions city buses and city transit subsidies.

All told, taxes contribute more to cost at the pump than any other factor. Competition for gas is ruthless, especially with the advent of mobile based price tools.

As long as environmental extremism and rent seeking drive policy, welcome to dystopia.

Lowkey, the drive ain't all that bad. Ain't all that interesting, either, but it ain't all that bad, nevertheless.

If you like fireworks stands on every exit and cheap smokes? It's heaven in Missouri.

Getting around Tulsa was a hassle. Also, was hard to find Budweiser cases. Every "liquor store" had a southern selection and shit tons of craft stuff and liquor. The actual city wasn't my favorite, but I don't get out much, either. Couldn't buy dip at a lot of places.
