I saw that they added this tournament for freestyle but it is being held in Poland Nov.21-26 with team trials being in Minn in early October. I know Manville is going to try but does anyone think any of the starters are going to give it a go being that it is right at the beginning of the season and may have to miss a match or two?

Nomad says Hall is going but I'm skeptical. If he does, not sure if at 74 or 86. Seems he ought to wait til 79 is avavailable next year.

If Hall goes, I would expect Nolf to follow.

I expect Imar to be there.

Sorry, Trials.

As fun as getting into a deep discussion of people's travels to Poland would be...
I actually lived in a small village northwest of Warsaw - spelled something like Dombrowka Sklahechka - with my family in 1972-73. The smell of tannery fluids brings me back (there was a tannery that dumped effluent into a canal near our school so you could always smell those chemicals). Ate so much Kielbasa I can not eat it to this day. Quite an experience. Went back in 1997 to see my old school and house.

Gorgeous girls in Poland but they don't age well for some reason.

Maybe it's the Kielbasa?

The timing of the qualifier is very interesting. Priorities will be fleshed out.

You sure that wasn't Columbus?

I hope colleges put some priority on this.

I get that, for their jobs, it isn't AS important, but it should be important. Especially for the guys who can compete on the world level.

lets hope. lets also hope that if/when an injury to a starter occurs people dont flip out and back away from these types of events.

USA Wrestling should make a huge push to move U23 to august or September. UWW has stated that they want it as big a deal as the Cadet/Junior/Senior World Championships. And instead of Universities, have U23. It's not like Universities ever gets competed anyway.

The only sad part about all the "good" things UWW is doing is they're making it easier on the good ole USA.

The two 3-minute periods favor us, the one day tournament favors us, the same day weigh ins favor us. Soon we won't have anything to whine about! (Oh wait, that's right, they're still cheaters and a guy scoring four points in two seconds happens "all the time")
