Nolf with the eventual tech.

Burroughs up 2-0 over Mike Moreno at break. This shouldn't be close.

Dake destroying one of my Columbia guys, Tyrel White.

Dake is my pick to win this class. He and DT should be representing....

DT with the tech, up 2-0 went feet to back on a double, then two laces.

Burroughs eked by Moreno 4-0. I'm with Spyker, I think this is Dake's weekend.

Gavin Teasdale isn't in the 55kg or 60kg bracket any longer.

I heard a health related rumor, trying to make weight .... can someone confirm ?

OW could be slipping away from PD3 here, tied 6-6 with Pete Renda at the break. First two matches of his I saw he tired late.

PD3 beat Renda, who made a mistake allowing for an easy two.

John Staudenmayer beat Trotman, so he'll face Bo next in quarters.

I'm a Boroughs homer but things are not looking good..,
Meanwhile on the Mark Hall front he techs another middle schooler. I have no reason to ever question Cael's judgment but WHAT is Wreck doing in the junior division?
Nolf is looking way more comfortable putting points on the board from a number of positions in freestyle. A taste of things to come!

With regard to Hall, he's clearly not ready for Dake Burroughs just yet, and he's pretty much assured a spot on the junior world team with another shot at a junior world title. The guys he'll face at that tournament are legit even if the guys he's facing today aren't. Today will get him a bye to the finals at the trials though.

Nico Nato on Mat 7
1-1 at break, Nico's point off a shot clock, not sure how Nato scored

RBY sold out for double overs for some back points, got countered and pinned. His day is donw but he performed very well against much more experienced competition.

Fair enough but I'm not holding my breath when it comes to the legit competition part.

Nico lost 5-4. Looked pretty good, but gave up his leg twice and Nato made him pay twice, first with a cradle roll-through, then a push out with the score tied and 5 seconds left.

Frank is up 7-0 in his quarter, per Arena, but the Mat 4 camera isn't working so we can't see it.

James Green appears to be getting revenge over Dylan Ness, up 7-0, if review goes his way, 11-0.

Kendric Maple has looked great every time I've watched him today.

Zain better be ready. Oliver is really quick...Should be a great match. Are the semis today ?

Pantaleo came to wrestle today.

Knocked off Jason Welch.
And just knocked off 2 seed J. Chamberlain, 8-6.

Redshirt season might have suited him well.

Michigan has a chance to be outstanding next year. Micic, Pantaleo, Massa & Coon is some serious horsepower

Nolf Gantt on 4, and the cam is working. No score a minute in.

Nolf up 4-0 on a feet to back double. At the break.
Nolf in on a leg and converts, 6-0.
Nolf tries that wraparound leg maneuver that worked in the NCAA finals, doesn't work here.
Gantt tried a desperation front head lock, Nolf gets behind, rolls for the tech.
