....and allow me to add that NOBODY is a "lock" against Suriano, my understanding is that he is right up there, according to the staff, and according to Nico himself...
And if Jimmy has same problem as Rasheed? Who do we slot in at 133 then since Cortez will be up by that point.
Didn't Jimmy struggle the same hist first year at 133? He was close at the end of the season, he had the Gross match. if the mind is right for him he can easily AA at 141 next season with his strength. Needs a lot of work on bottom. I see Cortez exceeding the excellent Jordan Conaway at 133.I don't think strength was necessarily the problem - Jimmy seemed to struggle mightily against length, even when he started wrestling better at end of year, Ashnault being a good example. Jimmy was wrestling well at B1Gs until Ashnault who stopped him cold with his length and scrambling/funk ability. Jimmy's finish ratio on quality attacks was single digit at 141 - he simply was not a good scrambler at 41 and simply had no answer if he was up against a guy with length and good scrambler which suggests length was a major problem for him @41. But if he's really unable to maintain his weight @33 than there really isn't much to discuss but if he's having trouble maintaining weight @33 that would suggest his natural weight is significantly higher. Cortez appeared to be taller than Jimmy, so I'm not sure I buy that Jimmy can't wrestle 33 but Cortez can. But Cael will do what is best for all involved and I'm comfortable with that regardless of what it ultimately brings.

Jimmy is challenging for the finals no matter where he wrestles next year, he is the next big hearted PSU/Cael guy to step up for his final year. In the tradition of Frank Molinaro, James English, and Jordan Conaway.Didn't Jimmy struggle the same hist first year at 133? Putting Frank Molinaro in the same category as Gullibon (and the others, for that matter) is ludicrous. Going into his senior season, Molinaro was a returning national finalist and a legit title contender.
You're making Spyker look more and more sane by the minute.Jimmy is challenging for the finals no matter where he wrestles next year, he is the next big hearted PSU/Cael guy to step up for his final year. In the tradition of Frank Molinaro, James English, and Jordan Conaway.
This, mostly. The Jimmy who beat Micah Jordan can go far into the NCAA tournament.jimmy needs to wrestle like he did against Heil and focus on finishing shots plus doing something in the front headlock position. I'm his biggest fan!
I think the coaching staff needs to help Jimmy by selecting neutral against certain wrestlers like Cruz of Lehigh. Joey Ward selected neutral and beat Cruz. Our coaching staff feels that a wrestler should always choose bottom. I think that's fine early in the season (always taking bottom to work on it) but some thought at the end of the year makes sense. It can make the difference between a win and a loss. This, mostly. The Jimmy who beat Micah Jordan can go far into the NCAA tournament.
But he still needs to get much better on bottom. The Jimmy who got majored by Ashnault isn't getting very far. I don't think he'll ever be Nico or Zain on bottom, but he doesn't need to be. He just needs to be the best Jimmy on bottom.

Who knows for sure. Green made it a couple years back from a not so small 157. I'm guessing he's got to add 12 solid pounds to go 74 internationally. Is the frame there to be effective?I believe IMAR's weight issue were not from cutting to 157. It was reported earlier that he was going to make a run at the 2016 Olympics.
The weight class? 65KG
Ashnault and Chishko both look pretty big at 141 IMHO. I wonder if one or both will bump up to 149 next season.
Speaking of Jimmy...
Noted that he was in the front of the team photo, but he did not put on the Team Championship shirt.
Same with Conaway. No white team shirt in the team photo.
No rumors. No speculation.
Just wondering about the mindset and if perhaps somebody was trying to send a message.
Perhaps someone has asked either one to see what they were thinking.
