Michigan, because we want the gift that keeps on giving (Harbaugh) to keep his job. If they lose to Iowa, us and Ohio State this year, Michigan may go out and hire a real coach. We don't want that, do we?
They’ve been trying to hire a real coach since they shit-canned Lloyd Carr for the flavor of the month. Honesty, if Jimmah can’t win in AA, who the hell can? That fan base is the perfect example of inflated expectations - they have their program on such a pedestal that nobody will ever be good enough.Michigan, because we want the gift that keeps on giving (Harbaugh) to keep his job. Iowa. Will give them a boost, which should give PSU a boost IF we beat them. Michigan’s hype machine might have them ranked ahead of us by the time we play them—despite the two losses. So take the boost from beating an Iowa team that just beat Michigan. If we beat both and MSU, there’s still a big red problem in the East.Or a meteor strike?
Iowa. It's doubtful Michigan will even be .500 in their remaining games with losses to us, OSU, ND and MSU. After we beat Iowa their only challenge left will be Wisky, Whom I'm hoping we play in Indianapolis.
This is so obvious. You have to root for eastern teams to lose as it helps us win our division.Iowa. A Michigan loss helps our eastern division ranking.
Except that I want us to beat both Iowa and Wisky, not beat Iowa twice. Those are the only two realistic options in the West. Whoever wins that game is going to Indy. Both have off weeks before they meet.If you want to play the badgers in Indy you should want Michigan to beat Iowa and make their path easier...
Definitely rooting for Iowa because it makes the game in Iowa City a week later a real showcase game. And whoever wins, it will be helpful for PSU to see what the Iowa offense does against the Michigan D.
But at this point we know very little about either team. Michigan wasn't ready for Wisconsin early in the season. Iowa probably should have lost to Iowa State.
Michigan's run D couldn't handle Wisconsin's OL. But Iowa has been more of a passing team so far this year, so the matchup will be totally different. Iowa's got several productive receivers, but can they get open on the Michigan secondary?

My dislike of Michigan prevents me from cheering them on. So, the Hawkeyes. And then we destroy Iowa the following week.
Although optimally #14 Iowa losing to #19 Michigan is better for PSU, assuming PSU defeats both teams.
My guess is if you’ve watched Iowa play football in years past, you have a pretty good idea of what this particular Iowa team looks like. Just looking at some of their numbers and stats, they look like pretty much the same team they’ve been for a while now. What sucks is both PSU and Iowa-Michy are at NOON est.
Wanted to watch both curious how good Iowa is?
Yeah but I wanted to see how much better, mature and smooth Stanley is. Also how Michigan will handle Epenesa their DE. How effective their TE is and their Receivers vs. Michy skill players etc..My guess is if you’ve watched Iowa play football in years past, you have a pretty good idea of what this particular Iowa team looks like. It's going to come down to the winner of the Wisky/Iowa game. Assuming we beat Iowa and Wisky loses to OSU, the winner of he game on November 9 will be the West champ. Even if Wisky pulls it out against OSU, the winner of Wisky/Iowa will still be the West champ. The rest of the teams in the West are simply not very good. Minnesota will have a winning record when we play them, but the Gophers last 4 games are against us, Iowa, NW and Wisky, in that order. That's most likely 3 losses. The West has two good teams, one decent team in Minnesota, but Purdue, NW, Illinois and Nebraska are terrible. The last four teams would have trouble being competitive in the ACC Coastal.Iowa beating Michigan makes it more likely Penn State would play them twice (in a scenario where we win the east), not less. You should want them to lose as many as possible.
An epic upset of either Wisky or Iowa can change my projections, but I fail to see how Iowa beating Michigan changes the dynamic between Wisky and Iowa.
