Who do we want to win, Iowa or Michigan?

I hope they physically beat the crap out of each other for 60 minutes, and Iowa wins at the gun.

I agree it doesn't, but it seemed like that's what you were saying below. The outcome of Iowa Michigan will have zero impact on whether we play Iowa twice unless there is chaos in the west. That said, Iowa winning can only help them in that quest. Iowa losing ensures there's no way it happens as wisconsin would need to drop multiple games. God the west sucks.

"Except that I want us to beat both Iowa and Wisky, not beat Iowa twice."
Guess I should have put "highly ranked" in that statement but thought it was implied :)

So if iowa beats the fighting hairballs, and Purdue keeps it close, will iowa jump psu in the polls?

Iowa, prefer the let down angle the following week over being filled with piss and vinegar. We’ll take care of Michigan the following week.

It doesn't matter this far out. Just keep winning.

Win the Big Ten and we're in the playoffs. That's the goal.

This seems straightforward - of course, we want Iowa to win, independent of any feelings towards the two teams.

Since we play both of them this season, strength of schedule is irrelevance. One team will win, one will lose.

So, what would be the difference between the two:

1. Michigan is in our division, Iowa is not. You need to win the division to win the conference, so any conference loss by an East division team helps that. So, Iowa win/UM loss is better.

2. We recruit much more heavily against Michigan than Iowa. One game doesn't impact recruiting but a cumulative effect of losses (and not winning anything of note) does. So, Michigan losing helps PSU more in this than Iowa losing.

I'm not worried about the risk of playing Iowa twice. And if we do, no big deal. Still would mean we are in the CCG which is good.
