After 4.5 innings, Penn State up 4-2. Ohio State has left 14 runners stranded. I probably jinxed it, but DAMN!!!

And we still have our starter in.

Penn State wins it 6-4 and OSU leaves 17 in 7 innings.

Pretty ugly game both ways, 9 errors in total, a W is a W. Was coming to the Board, not sure I’ve ever seen any SEVEN inning game with SEVENTEEN LOB.

Game two to follow!

I'm happy for the Game One win, but that was flat out bad defensive fundamentals by the Nittany Lions. Fortunately, the Buckeyes were worse in this game, unusual for them. On to Game Two.

Pretty sure the Pirates had 17 LOB in a game last year but that was over 9 innings...

...and, I think Chris Davis just struck out again.

Luck ran out in the second game. Mercy rule applied after 5. Penn State loses 12-1.

That was pure Keystone Kops by Penn State in the second game, really in both games. I know it's a young team, but near collisions chasing fly balls because no one apparently calls other fielders off, the second baseman not having her foot on the base when covering first, missing the cut-off man, holding the ball while watching tOSU runners advance bases when there was clearly a play to be made, not being in proper stance while fielding a ground ball, it was ridiculous. I've never coached softball and never should, but a casual observer of the sport can see these things. Mental errors everywhere.
