Should mention that NLWC's Josh Rodriguez got past Jack Mueller in a high scoring 3rd place bout.

Ringer had his way with Zahid. Noticeably stronger, but also better prepared. Last year looks like an aberration in hindsight, when Zahid tech'd Ringer twice.

I think NLWC member Lefevre beat Kollin Moore tho’ I didn’t see the end o’ match

NIckal is going to come up on Mat 2 after Heflin Downey. Downey won the first.

Things just got chippy, ref had to calm Downey down. Then Heflin double-overed Downey into the Blaise Alexander for four, but it's reversed on challenge and Downey given a step out point.

Wondering why Heflin doesn't go Greco because he appears wholly oblivious that leg attacks are permitted in FS.

Downey wins and then things get chippy again as Downey continues to wrestle Heflin after the win. What an idiot.

Bo Macchiavello II

Mach looking for upper body openings, Bo not interested. Mach tries front headlock but doesn't do anything with it. 1:36 remaining. Step out point for Bo, up 1-0. Mach got to a leg clean, but Bo kicked out. 1-0 at break.

Bo circling, still cautious. Neither guy doing much. Both exchange shots, but neither committed. 1:30 left. Now Bo in on a high crotch, but Mach fights it off and steps out instead. 3-0 Bo with the shot clock point. Bo asks for time, looks like he's complaining about his shoulder. Mach takes a desperation shot, which Bo aside of and goes behind, plus a gut, and time runs out. Should be 7-0 but I didn't catch the final score.

Ringer just teched Valencia again — Dake better be careful with him. Looked awesome.

PS Mark Hall is not a 79.
This can't possibly be true -- countless people here have insisted Hall needs to go up to 86 for the Olympics because he's not a 74.

So far every best of 3 except Nolf IMar has been decided, with Gadson Walz (Gadson won first) and Steveson Coon (Steveson won first) still to wrestle their second. So Nolf should be up right after Steveson.

Am I crazy for liking Pat Downey? If he gets over the world vs PD persona, the kid has real talent.

IMar Nolf III

Nolf in on a leg but tried to go crotch lift and IMar beautiful counter, up 2-0. Now IMar again with a TD at edge. 4-0. Double whizzers and Nolf loses that exchange. IMar too strong. 6-0. Familiar seatbelt position again, IMar gets the step out point. 7-0. Nolf gets two back late on an exchange similar to how match 2 ended, with Nolf having IMar's head. 7-2 break.

Less action halfway through second, and Nolf needs points. Hard shot IMar sprawls out of, now looks head pinch but no. One minute left. IMar complaining to the ref about Nolf's heavy hands. Nolf with a shot but IMar steps out of it. Weird sequence at edge gives IMar 4, but Cael challenges b/c why not. Score stands 11-2, but if overturned will probably be 9-2 with one second left. So challenge is moot, but they'll go through it. 11-2 final IMar.
