There is zero shot the ACC or Big 12 get more than 1 berth.

It’s actually more likely we get the 7 seed than 6 seed. The two CCG losers from the Big Ten and SEC are highly likely to be 5 and 6.

But that’s exactly where the results talked about in this thread matter. A 10-3 Georgia (or Alabama) or even a 11-2 Texas after an SEC title game loss might slip behind us if our resume is better.

Root for USC (UCLA was also our foe but they have no chance of a bowl), Wisconsin, WVU, and Washington.

All could go to bowl games…and help us with that metric.

Illinois and Bowling Green and Minny are our only three bowl opponents we’ve beaten. We also want the first two of them to win, esp Illinois. A top 25 win is another key metric and they are our only hope of that.

But beating 7 bowl teams plus 1 top 20 team (if Illinois wins out) and a close loss to OSU…is a solid resume.

Right now you put all the points up you can as "style" points are important. The committee doesn't watch all of the games, so the final score is what matters.

Agreed--he wants nothing to do with any of those teams. If he drops a first round playoff game (especially at home)--watch out

There won't be a 2 loss SEC or Big Ten team out other than Indiana--who's in danger with a loss due to their SOS

I'm not real familiar with Minny, but that many catches by backs tends to show poor oline play with a lot of safety valve dump offs. If so 13 needs to play under control and make solid tackles.

He's really improved from standpoint of doing his job over the past two games. He's starting to learn that at this level, he's not the biggest, baddest, fastest athlete on the field who is relied upon to make every play.

I agree that there will be 2-loss teams getting at-large bids, and there will be 2-loss teams getting left out, but the latter have no right to complain, IMHO

We can schedule Mercer when we schedule like Bama
Check out their future schedules with two P5 teams in additional to playing the SEC schedule
Then check out our pathetic schedules
They have Ohio State, Florida State and Notre Dame on their future schedules--we have Nevada, Temple and Syracuse as our "big" game
Add one legit team and we can play Mercer--who could probably beat Kent State
