Not sure you're going to find a deeper look at the USC offense this week than right here.

First of all it shows that USC is not a good team. We are clearly better, especially up front on both sides of the ball.

These soft teams like USC start to lose that confidence and swag once they start losing a few games.

I think that if we take it to them a little but, especially in the trenches they could fold early.

Patriots S Jabrill Peppers was placed on the Commissioner Exempt List.

Peppers may not practice with the team or attend games while on the exempt list. The veteran safety was arrested last weekend and is facing charges of assault, strangulation, and drug possession. It seems unlikelyhe will return.

While SEC and Big Ten leaders mull major changes, a new Super League concept looms that could radically alter college sports​

Spearheaded by former Disney executives-turned-investment professionals, Project Rudy is a super league-esque concept — separate and more simplified than the one made public last week — that incorporates football programs of the four power conferences in a 70-team structure. The model preserves the four power conferences, expands the postseason, overhauls scheduling, tiers revenue distribution and, most importantly, infuses as much as $9 billion of private capital cash into the system.

Over the last four months, athletic directors at more than 25 power conference programs have seen the presentation, many of them in person during meetings with Smash Capital representatives. Others only held phone or Zoom calls about Project Rudy, its name a nod to the famous Notre Dame walk-on, Rudy Ruettiger. Three of four power conference commissioners were shared details of the model directly from the architects as well (those from the SEC, Big 12 and ACC).

In a recent acquisition, the architects of Project Rudy successfully recruited to join their team one of the most respected people within the college space: former Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick. It is a stunning move for someone who just six months ago sat on the College Football Playoff governing committee as one of the most powerful decision-makers in the industry.

For those who were at the game you didn't hear the gem from Gus Johnson announcing the game...

Gus: "you know why I like coming to Penn State?"

Joel: "No, why is that?"

Gus: "because the phones don't work."

A truer statement was never uttered about Saturday's in Happy Valley. I haven't been to a game in a decade, but nice to see the more things change the more they stay the same.

Not sure about the necessity of the thread, but as a few on another thread were asking about a few inside jokes, I thought I’d start a thread about some of the most popular so everyone is in the know...

-“insert name” IS BEATING NICO IN THE ROOM!...excessive rumors about mainly Suriano beating Nico in the room led to “everyone” beating Nico in the room. Apparently these were just ‘spykerisms’

-What mat are Carton and Pletcher on?...As someone else noted, Spyker may have been the starter on this as it was asked anout what mat these 2 were wrestling on repeatedly during last years NCAA tournament.

-George’s Barbershop references- the announcers of an early season away dual against Clarion repeatedly plugged “George’s Barbershop” and urged listeners to go in for a haircut and a shave.

Mike Evans is not impressed!...again noted earlier in another thread, Evans claimed that he was not impressed by Taylor and Dake during the season that he shared a weight class with them. It was blown up by slush’s fairly regular poll posts that were pretty funny.

-Raptor...apparently that’s Cassar’s nickname.

-illegal fist to the back...in a dual with Nebraska, the student U announcers were clueless and called for an “illegal fist to the back” at one pont during the Alton match. Video was recently posted of the Ruth match from the same dual, definitely worth a watch!

I know there are plenty more, but I figure this is a good start...feel free to add on, explain further, or correct any of my possible errors.

BEG just got bigger and better with live calls on the show and an internet site.

Although I see the crew of BEG seems new and much to learn their topics, to me, seem to be better and more fun than flo's. They are new and young with alot to improve on but I think this is gonna be a better product than flo.

Wind pressure developed by 180 mph wind speed = 80 psf
Therefore:
If you were standing outside during this event, you would have to resist 640 lbs +/- of load (two Pro-DL) [8 sq.ft. x 80 psf = 640 lbs]

Several years ago, I spent four days in Albany, NY studying wind science. The classes included wind speeds, wind pressures and their impact on structures.
the classes were taught by Drs. James R. McDonald and Kishor C. Mehta, both were head of the Steering Committee on DOD.

The project (DOD) was conducted under the auspices of the Wind Science and Engineering Center at Texas Tech University. Drs. James R. McDonald and Kishor C. Mehta are Co-PIs on the project.

I believe you will find the first link below very interesting; it deals with the degrees of destruction on many different houses, buildings, trees, etc. and the damage caused by various wind speeds.
