Solid win today. Not spectacular...but solid on both O and D. Lots of things to like.
So now that the preliminaries are out of the way, we waste no time looking forward to a game that most people had circled on their calendars months ago. That's assuming of course that the Trojans take care of business tonight on the road against Minnesota, which is not an automatic win for them by any means.
However, if they do beat the Gophers as expected, I think next week's winner will have the inside track for a playoff berth. The loser will not be out of it but will have a finer line to walk and will need more things to break right to make the field of 12.
Also, speaking of assumptions, another one I'm making is that Nick is back and at full speed. We're gonna need him.
Anyway, I'm guessing we'll arrive in LA as a slight underdog, which is fine. I'd prefer that over being favored. But point spread aside, it's a huge game for our program...and our coach. I'm pretty psyched about it.
