Won't even hunt for Morels till I this is under control. Can't even shift from side to side sleeping to let the nasal cavity at least drain open to one side f\for relief.. Nightmare. Wear tissues in my nose at night so it can catch the drip. Look like a Dragon.

This month, three countries are sending various rovers and other vehicles to Mars (why February? There is actually a good reason for that...). Really insightful and interesting podcast from NPR's 'The 1A' on the scope of the mission, why UAE's mission is unique, the future of space travel/exploration, etc. Great guests from National Geographic and NASA happily discuss the missions and really get you geeked out about science and engineering. This will be the first mission where NASA tries to fly an unmanned vehicle on another planet. There is also a passing mention of a 'good humored astrophysicist at Penn State' at one point (but they don't mention his name). I'm definitely hoping to watch the landing - should be pretty cool!

And the progression continues. Starting with winning the recruiting battle over the years, to compiling an impressive run of team and individual national champions.

Creating a world class Regional Training Center as a foundation for attracting and developing elite athletes, while teaching them that wrestling is only a small part of life.

And most importantly, assembling a team of leaders who coach our athletes to be great wrestlers and even better humans.

All of this has been showcased over the past 10 years and was displayed in grand fashion over the past couple of weeks at NCAAs and the Olympic Trials.

And as the world watches, including the next generation of elite wrestling talent, it is obvious there is no other program that can fulfill the dreams of aspiring world champions like Penn State. That’s what we do. We are!

Congratulations to Cael and company for allowing us to share this amazing journey. Still much history to be written, but based on the last ten years and the last two weeks, as hard as it is to fathom, I believe the best is yet to come.

I haven't gone fishing for about 15 years. This year my grandkids are old enough so I am taking them fishing tomorrow. Two simple questions:

1. The last time I fished everyone had to display the license. Most had it in a holder attached to their cap. Is this still necessary?
2. I am going to fish in a small local lake that is stocked with trout. I don't intend to keep any that I catch. Do I need a trout permit?

At NLWC, who is all there to train at 97KG? I know 86kg is loaded with Brooks, Nickal and Taylor, but who is exclusively training at 97kg?

Penn State Wrestling Fans!!!

After the longer-than-normal collegiate off-season... we are close to the beginning of our abbreviated 2021 season. Still a lot of unknowns this year, but the schedule is out and I have updated the Streaming Availability spreadsheet for this year based on "knowns" and what I anticipate.

The only fact that we know for sure (other than the dates) is the simul-streaming arrangement between FloSports & BTN+ has ended...

The assumptions that I am makings are that all match videos will be on either BTN+ or BTN itself... with audio on GoPSUSports.com & one of the two State College radio stations. I am expecting the two "big" Friday night duals between Iowa & Ohio State to be on BTN...

As we learn more, I'll update the the spreadsheet... until then: Go Lions!!

Also I was listening to the stalemates podcast last week. It was the one with brands and the chatter mat side about hating wrestling and loving politicians.

The stalemates dude is an ISU guy, so he has no dog in the fight between good (us) and evil (iowa). But in that he said psu were elitist.

Well .... now this from willie, has me thinking?

I just watched the Brands Interview (Press Conference) on Flo , I actually felt bad for him. I know we are all excited how the finals went last night and in my opinion you could feel how upset Brands was. I felt the tension from his answers, that one "He healed a lot of hearts just by winning a wrestling match" then what felt like a forced "Good Job" It came across to me as pretending to be happy when all the physical cues say otherwise.

I feel bad for him actually, because it should have been a very positive Interview and it seemed like he could not allow himself to enjoy it, they are National Champions for the first time in over a decade. I get wanting more out of the finals but it was, in my opinion, in his emotion/Mind to much. He looked annoyed??

I know I am biased, I pick on him, but have no real malice in my heart or anything....Did anyone else see the interview? Am I off base here?? Also what do you make of his "this program has never redshirted its best team" Wow Cael is in his head rent free
