Individual champions during Cael's tenure at Penn State

While awaiting the newest crop of individual Penn State champions I thought it would be fun to see a complete list of Penn State champions under Cael so far. I count 38 individual titles, and who knows how many more Penn State wrestlers might have won the year the tournament was cancelled because of COVID. Seeing the list is just so impressive. I can't wait to see the numbers grow and see all those new names added in the future.

Four timers: (2) Aaron Brooks and Carter Starocci
Three timers: (4) Ed Ruth, Zain Retherford, Bo Nickal and Jason Nolf
Two timers: (5) Quentin Wright, David Taylor, Vincenzo Joseph, Roman Bravo-Young and Nick Lee
One timers: (8) Frank Molinaro, Matt Brown, Nico Megaludis, Mark Hall, Anthony Cassar, Max Dean, Levi Haines and Greg Kerkvliet

NEW 2025 DB Offer -- Indiana commit Byron Baldwin

Penn State Football has offered 2025 DB Byron Baldwin (St. Frances Academy - MD) on Monday afternoon and he will be a name to watch going forward, as he's already been to campus twice previously for a camp in 2023 and a gameday visit last November.

Now Baldwin's recruitment has been an interesting one, as Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers got in on him early and have been able to hold onto his commitment for quite some time despite other schools pushing. However Colorado offered recently and he took an OV to Boulder this past weekend. He hasn't flipped or anything to this point, as he told Rivals that he remains committed to the Hoosiers, but things could change on a dime. Look for Penn State to see if they can also get him on campus for an OV before any decision is made.

Film Study - Kotelnicki's Play-Calling vs. Kent State

KOTELNICKI KSU FILM STUDY

See link above. We, like a lot you, were surprised how 'non-vanilla' Kotelnicki's play-calling was on Saturday given the caliber of opponent...so that's what we had coach look into - formations, motion, design, in-game evolution of certain looks. Personally, he said he's more of a 'keep things under wraps' kind of guy until the exotic stuff isneeded, but that Kotelnicki is the opposite (obviously). He also mentioned there's a good chance we see ZERO of the stuff we saw on Saturday vs. Illinois, UCLA and USC and that all this was nothing more than time-wasting bait that defensive staffs at Illinois and USC now have to acknowledge.

Pac XII adds Utah State

This doesn't make any sense
Yeah, the AAC schools all weren't interested but Utah State definitely isn't helping you get a TV contract that the Pac XII is trying to sell schools on
So now the MWC and Pac XII both have 7...UNLV probably goes to the Pac XII and Air Force to the AAC
Then...hopefully the MWC and steals the Dakota and Montana schools convincing them to move up but this is all just...pointless.

OT: Masters Week

per usual, the course looks incredible. Scheffler comes in hot having won two of his last three tournaments and tying for second, one stroke off, on the other. The other favorite is Rahm but he went to LIV and hasn't played much. Koepka, also with LIV, always comes to play. Rory, Wyndham Clark, Hovland, Niemann, and Lowry always seem to come to the top. The kid that won last week, Akshay Bhatia could ride a wave as the guy he beat in the playoff (who birdied 8 of the last 9 holes for a backside 28 only to chunk an easy pitch into the water on the first playoff hole) Denny McCarthy could ride the hot steaks into Augusta. But Augusta's pressure typically has a way of rooting out the pretenders and the best of the best rise to the top.

My bet is that Rahm repeats.

The USC Love fest

Does it end tomorrow? Somehow I see the media spinning it into a moral victory for them. But.... remember now, Michigan was a 5.5 point dog AT HOME in this game, before the late money came in. 5 and a half point home underdog wins by 3. Michigan basically beat them with no passing game. But ...yeah that sounds familiar doesn't it? They beat us the exact same way, but that was with McCarthy and that championship line.

Does the D'Anton Lynn love fest end? NON STOP all week we heard about their 6 transfers and their magnificent Trojan weight gains and their tackling conjuring up the 85 Bears, and in the end they lost exactly how they lost every other game in the last 5 years: Poor tackling.

This of course has zero bearing on PSU, because we better be worrying about Illinois and then UCLA because this team is all sorts of inconsistent in every phase of the game after 3 games, but I am sorry for this in advance, I was rooting for Michigan. I hate USC even more than I hate Michigan and I don't give a damn about strength of schedule because I don't know what the hell we have and I suspect it might be the same thing we had the last two years, but USC is not the second coming of Christ and welcome to the Big Ten you pompous assholes 😂. Now go back to Compton or Riverside or Inglewood and sell more crack because I HATE the fake ass Trojan subway non alumni and I HATE the rich entitled snobs who went there just as much.

Can't wait to hear the crying by Trojan Collin Cow turd tomorrow as he cries in his Wheaties for hours. Pound Sand you clown.

Rant over 😂.
