Happy Independence Day

You guys rock!
I started my day yesterday by baking over 160 American pizzas at my buddies joint.

I woke up today wanting a certain firework. You know the best firework ever... the one that has a tube and parachutes float down. I will be crushing everyone to grab those suckers out of the sky. Women and children be damned.

So.. what is your favorite firework?

The Real Life Rambo - MSG Roy Benavidez Medal of Honor Speech 1991

What a Patriot and true hero this man was. Hopefully one day we can restore a semblance of American pride and patriotism Roy shows in this speech. As he says in his speech, one of the most important lessons he learned in all his Army training was that faith, determination, and a positive attitude can take you many places in life.

If anyone deserves a movie about their life it's this incredible man.

It's a little cheesy but here's an animation summing up Roy's amazing life/career:

Big-time gambling scandal may be looming for NBA

Jontay Porter. I don't follow the league closely enough anymore to be familiar with the name, but he's a bit player for the Raptors...averages 4 points a game.

The NBA is now investigating two games this year where he played only a few minutes and didn't score before taking himself out of both contests, once due to unspecified illness and once because he claimed to have reaggravated a previous eye injury...though he hadn't been listed on the team's pre-game injury report.

Attention has been focused on a potentially suspicious pattern of prop gambling on both games where big bucks were bet on Porter's under number for points and rebounds. In fact, DraftKings reported that Porter prop bets were the #1 gambling moneymaker for both nights of NBA games.

A source tells ESPN: "People were trying to do whatever they could to bet Jontay Porter props [against the Clippers]...and then, just a few days ago, the same thing. We had a bunch of people trying to bet under for more."

To be clear, there have been no accusations (yet)...nor even allegations. But gosh, it does have a fishy feel to it.

Two former PSU gymnasts make Olympic team!

Two competitors will be Nittany Lions!

Additionally, two former Lady Lions basketball players made the team.

Jabree Wallace-Coleman

What I see in Coleman is a big, physical back with a nice physique who’s a tough, determined runner between the tackles with a nice, long stride who is tough to bring down in the open field. He can catch the ball outta the backfield, & make guys miss in the open field as-well. I believe there’s a-lot for Seider to work with in Coleman!
