Penn State made a splash in August of last year by adding a commitment from running back Messiah Mickens. The in-state top-100 prospect has been an active recruiter for the Nittany Lions since he jumped aboard. When it comes to the 2026 class, James Franklin and his staff have been flexing their talent evaluation muscles. Penn State was one of the first offers for Rivals250 prospects Zion Elee, Kevin Brown, David Davis, Carter Scruggs and many others.

There were very high hopes for Penn State last season but it fell just short, losing to Ohio State and Michigan by one possession. Still, a 10-win season and finishing No. 17 in the 2024 team recruiting rankings is nothing to look down on. Coordinator changes on both sides of the ball have brought renewed optimism to Happy Valley and a big season on the field should yield massive results on the recruiting trail.

But what self respecting German Shepherd, Doberman or a hunting dog wants to be dressed like a freak when he goes for a walk?

Don’t give me the wether nonsense, because God gave them a furry coat. And if you leave your dog outside for prolonged periods in really cold weather, you shouldn’t have a dog? Unfortunately that’s a different story. But this dressing them in coats, hats and God forgive booties, for a walk is a sign of a really demented individual.

Don’t know if this has been mentioned before, but I drove up to State College to visit family this weekend from Delco. The Port Royal bridges on 322 (both directions) are under construction again this year. This time the left lanes are open while they work on the right lanes. If you’re headed that direction for Blue/White you may want to factor in a little extra driving time. Hopefully the work gets finished before football season begins. The delays last season added at least an extra 30 minutes each way on game day.

With my limited assessment skills, I don't think he is quick enough for LBer or sudden enough for DE.
