4 Downs W/ Landon Tengwall: Tony Rojas

Some film review of what Rojas did as a freshman. Instincts, tackling, movement skills. Very easy to see why Carter being moved should be a net positive between replenishing DE room and getting a guy who looks like a complete LB on the field, specifically IN THE BOX.

Mostly Maryland film, but it's hard to find a qualm with a sack/fumble and a pick.

Question for the board: Are hotel booking apps accurate?

I need a hotel room, cheap, in early September for two nights. I have never used booking.com or hotels.com, etc. I downloaded the apps and they quoted a price for a cheap room at 70$ per night, then I called the hotel itself and they quoted twice as much and told me those apps like hotels.com are not accepted or accurate. I REALLY need the room, but can't pay twice as much, what should I do? Remember, I am not experienced with these things.

PSU Alumni at Toftrees are Excited about 2024 Football Season

Recently a group of former and present, notable Penn Staters gathered with their fellow fraternity brothers at Toftress Golf Resort to reminisce and discuss the future of Penn State football They all thought this year's Nittany Lions have a great prospect of making the College Football Playoffs.

There are former athletes from several different sports seated at the table.

Can you recognize any of these "youngsters?"

So let me get this straight, Jimmah brought Stalions on as a "Volunteer Coach" in 2015, but then made him a paid full-time member of his staff...

...in 2022 even though he saw no benefit from Stalions' illegal scouting reports including documenting playbook schemes and plays from those schemes??? Absurd to contend that Jimmah would use a limited paid coaching position unless he liked the illegal scouting reports, and found value in them, that Stalions was providing. Illogical to believe that Jimmah would make someone a paid member, full-time professional coach, if he saw no value in the illegal, clear cheating, reports Stalions was providing.

OT: Jim Harbaugh issued 1yr ban / 4yr show cause

Harbaugh was just hit with a show cause order by the NCAA for illegal recruiting among other charges during the COVID Period. Michigan was charged with lack of oversight. This is beside the charges against the present Michigan coach, the coach directly after Harbaugh.

Since Harbaugh is in the pros the charges hold no punishment for him or the university. How is this possible?

Penn State #9 in Coaches Poll

No surprise. This is about where most of the pre-season ratings have put us.

In fact, there are no surprises anywhere in the top-10...though Michigan (#8) is a little higher than I expected.

Only one other of our opponents cracked the top-25, and that is USC (#23):

Hudson Clement, WV Redshirt Freshman, has historic 1st game

Some of you may recall a couple years ago when I asked if PSU had any interest in this kid from Martinsburg, WV. He had scored EIGHT TDs in the state championship game the year before as a wideout. Anyway, some of you interpreted this as suggesting PSU should have offered him a scholarship, and gave me the usual guff about how he wasn't listed on the recruiting services, blah, blah, blah.

Well, he finally got to play in WVU's game against Duquesne this past Saturday. RS Freshman. The first time he touched the ball? TD. 5 catches for 177 yds. THREE TDs.

No idea how much he plays going forward, but I would call this a good start.
