No one can say that the Sunday network "news" shows have learned anything from TRUMP's election and the support he's getting from the public.

It only takes about two minutes of watching any of these shows to see what their mission is.... At least now, the guests are pushing back bigly on the false premises of their questions and going even further and turning the tables on these Dem/Soc party tools.

Every question.... could end with, "so don't you agree that Orange Man Baaad then?" . They want to dwell on some tiny issue that will embarrass the Admin, but completely ignore the good results the TRUMP team is producing.... just as he promised to do when he ran for POTUS. Yeah, these diehards are determined to stick with the 20% position on basically every issue.

CNN's entire interview with Tom Homan was either questions about the "dirty" deal TRUMP did with Mayor Adams to get access to Rikers or how ICE was planning school raids or about how evil Homan wants to go after AOC for just giving her "constituents" friendly legal advice. Not one question about how alien criminals are being rounded up, not a question about how removing these criminals will benefit the communities they have taken over. No, that would be RACIST.

This is not a trivia question: Which MLB HOFer made the fewest All-Star games & led any + statistical categories?

This is not a trivia question as I'm just throwing this out there as I don't know the answer: Which major league baseball hall-of-famers can you think of that made the fewest All-Star games (since the All-Star game existed during their entire career) and also led any positive statistical categories offesively and defensively? I know that many say All-Star games are a popularity contest so that's why I'm adding in leading the league in any positive statistical categories. Looking for good suggestions on who that might be as I'm trying to check out some things.

For example: Hall-of-Famer Bert Blyleven was only a two-time All-Star. However, he led in WAR twice for pitchers (if you want to consider it), complete games once, shutouts once, strikeouts once, WHIP once, Strikeouts/Walks ratio three times. So, I could see that as a score of 11 for Bert be home Blyleven.

There are some with the ridiculous notion that Bill Mazeroski shouldn't be in the HOF. Maz had seven All-Star game seasons, eight Gold Gloves, led the league in dWAR twice, nine times in assists, eight times in double plays, five times in putouts, three times in fielding percentage, eight times in total zone fielding, 10 times in range factor per game, for a total score of 60.

Harold Baines was a six-time All-Star and led the league in slugging once and in fielding percentage once for a total score of eight.

Don Sutton was a four-time All-Star, and led the league in ERA once, WHIP four times, hits per nine innings once, HRs per nine innings once, strike out to walks ratio three times for a total score of 14.

Any suggestions on who might have the lowest number of All-Star years+leading in positive statistical categories?

As a side note, I was shocked to learn NBA's Bill Walton was only a two-time All-Star and Robin Yount only a three-time All-Star.

DOGE Audit Finds Waste, and Progressives Melt Down

And one such "progressive" is @LafayetteBear ..... And it is a glorious meltdown indeed.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...11/trump-musk-irs-pentagon-penny/78243290007/

At the behest of President Donald Trump, Elon Musk is flirting with audits of the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Education and the Pentagon. Forget wine and roses on Valentine's Day: That might be the most seductive sentence I've read in a long time.

A president and his top advisers are actually doing something to bring financial responsibility to the federal government? It's enough to make a fiscal conservative swoon.

Of course, not everyone is feeling the love. Democrats and much of the mainstream news media are howling like a dog that's lost its dinner. They've charged Trump with an unconstitutional overreach and Musk with being power-hungry. But taxpayers should be standing by with prosecco and praise for the administration's efforts to turn nonsense into common sense.

Consider one of Trump's latest pronouncements: The president on Sunday ordered the Treasury Department to stop making pennies because they have long been a losing proposition for taxpayers. In its 2024 annual report, the U.S. Mint said that each penny costs 3.69 cents to produce and distribute.

Even progressives' newspaper of record, The New York Times, noted last year that “the necessity of abolishing the penny has been obvious to those in power for so long that the inability to accomplish it has transformed the coin into a symbol of deeper rot.”

OT: Most memorable thing(s) you remember about your days as a student

Hopefully this stays as its own thread, as I've not seen one before. El Jefe's comment in the Blaze thread about freshmen STILL not being allowed to drive and park on campus got me to thinking about unforgettable moments and people I met on campus when I was there from 1982-85. I got a couple tickets for parking because I drove in from Lock Haven one term. Bastards!

1. 1982 was the last year for terms at PSU, and everything was done by paper back then. You wanted to change classes, you had to stand in lines to make a change. A "wonderful" experience to say the least. 1983 went to the semester system.

2. I took Theater 1 as an elective in 82 or 83 in Schwab Auditorium. I always remember a preacher outside that venue on many days telling us that we would be visited by the King of Kings. Of course, we all thought he was referring to Jesus, but no. He was referring to the Burger King. Always felt bad for him, as did most students. I always wonder what happened to him.

3. I grew up in a strict household. I didn't have my first alcoholic drink until coming to PSU. I started June 1982 in Porter Halls, and on night one I joined a grain alcohol party. What an introduction LOL. There was a female dorm next door and the most stunning model-quality girl would sunbath topless on many days. Mid summer we had a slave auction for something, and she was sold off as a slave. I wish I wasn't so poor in those days.

4. Very fond memories of the "Caboose", the speakeasy in back of the Train Station. I think the place had a 5 watt lightbulb for lighting. Big barrel of popcorn for dinner 3x a week.

5. My Big Brother at Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity was Steve Bosak, the future father of Scott Bosak. A great guy and very good chess player.

6. One of my roommates at TEP fraternity was Dave Paterno, the one who almost died in the trampoline accident years earlier. I once caught Sue Paterno as she was falling backwards on the circular staircase at the fraternity holding an oversized basket of clean laundry. Moms being mom.
