How Trump's Enemies Manifested His Hero's Journey

LOL... Would love for @LafayetteBear or @PaoliLion to feast their eyes on this one. @RoyalT12 as well.

They manifested his HERO'S JOURNEY....

https://sashastone.substack.com/p/how-trumps-enemies-manifested-his

Every so often, I say out loud, “Trump won.” I repeat it in my head a few times because even now, I barely believe it. Eight long years of conflict, madness, division, corruption - there have been convictions, jail time, even suicides among Jan 6ers whose lives were destroyed because they were faithful enough to Trump to have his back when the chips were down.

What our government, our media, and the ruling class wanted was to terrorize Trump supporters out of their loyalty to him. “It’s a cult,” they continue to insist. But even after all of that, Trump won. He won the Electoral College and the popular vote.

There has never been a story like this one in all of American history, and even the Good People of the Left know that. But there have been stories like this in all the most beloved films and books. This story is one we all know. It’s called The Hero’s Journey, and any honest person knows that we just watched Trump live out his.

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk live fight in Canada

Tonight’s co-feature fight sees Serhii Bohachuk take on Ishmael Davis in a light-middleweight title eliminator.

Ukraine’s Bohachuk (24-2) had been due to take on the former champion Israil Madrimov (10-1-1), only for the latter to fall ill with acute bronchitis. That saw Britain’s Davis (13-1) given the nod.

Davis is a significant underdog. He lost last time out, to compatriot Josh Kelly, his first opponent at true world level. And Bohachuk is even more dangerous, despite the fact he is also coming in off a loss, in a thrilling fight with Vergil Ortiz Jr.

Tonight’s fight is a title eliminator, with the winner being eligible to challenge reigning king Sebastian Fundora for his WBC belt.

Keys to Victory

For Tyson Fury:

  • Adaptability: Fury must address the weaknesses exposed in the first fight, particularly his defense in the later rounds.
  • Physical Edge: With a significant height and reach advantage, Fury needs to control the distance and use his jab effectively.
  • Mental Fortitude: This is uncharted territory for Fury, and his ability to stay composed will be critical.
For Oleksandr Usyk:

  • Speed and Precision: Usyk’s footwork and quick combinations were pivotal in the first fight. Maintaining that edge will be essential.
  • Stamina: Usyk’s conditioning allowed him to dominate the later rounds last time, a factor he will look to exploit again.
  • Defense: Avoiding Fury’s power punches and maintaining his elusive movement will be key to retaining his titles.

CNN..... fooled by murderous criminal..... so what's new?

We're CNN, it's what we do. (my apologies to Bo Nickal)

I'm starting to think Clarissa Ward's reports are more about pushing the CNN worldview/narrative than actual reporting of facts like a true journalist would do. Well, there goes your Emmy and Pulitzer, Clarissa. BWHAHAHAHA

Like I said, so what's new about that? No wonder they haven't announced a takeover party yet.... who would want to spend good money for this bunch of wankers?

They are trying to make the best of it now. But, they are making chicken shit out of chicken feathers..... not the outcome they hoped for.

Democrats Are in a Massive Hole

And it is of their own doing............

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/12/22/democrats-2024-election-problem-focus-group-00195806

Democrats conducting post-mortems on their sweeping losses in 2024 are finding more reason for alarm. And the problem isn’t just Kamala Harris or Joe Biden.

In a trio of focus groups, even voters who previously backed Democrats cast the party as weak and overly focused on diversity and elites, according to research by the progressive group Navigator Research.

When asked to compare the Democratic Party to an animal, one participant compared the party to an ostrich because “they’ve got their heads in the sand and are absolutely committed to their own ideas, even when they’re failing.” Another likened them to koalas, who “are complacent and lazy about getting policy wins that we really need.” Democrats, another said, are “not a friend of the working class anymore.”

The focus group research, shared first with POLITICO, represents the latest troubling pulse check for a party still sorting through the wreckage of its November losses and looking for a path to rebuild. Without a clear party leader and with losses across nearly every demographic in November, Democrats are walking into a second Trump presidency without a unified strategy to improve their electoral prospects. And while some Democrats blame Biden, others blame inflation and still others blame “losing hold of culture,” the feedback from the focus groups found Democrats’ problems are even more widespread and potentially long-lasting than a single election cycle.

The focus groups offer “a pretty scathing rebuke” of the Democratic Party brand, said Rachael Russell, director of polling and analytics at Navigator Research, a project within the Hub Project, which is a Democratic nonprofit group.

“This weakness they see, [Democrats] not getting things done, not being able to actually fight for people — is something that needs to be figured out,” Russell said. “It might not be the message, it might be the policy. It might be something a little bit deeper that has to be addressed by the party.”

Retail theft surges 93% since before COVID-19 pandemic: ‘Retailers have not been crying wolf’

So it essentially doubled...... @fbh1 is here to tell you it's not a problem. Trump is the problem.

And remember, the best way to reduce retail theft is to not punish the thief.

https://nypost.com/2024/12/18/business/retail-theft-surges-93-since-before-covid-19-pandemic/

The average number of shoplifting incidents jumped 93% in 2023 compared with pre-pandemic times and monetary losses for retailers have risen 90%, according to the nation’s largest retail trade group.

With its “Impact of Retail Theft & Violence 2024” study, the National Retail Federation (NRF) is highlighting the severity of this issue. For instance, despite the continuous efforts by retailers to combat such crimes and a growing number of states that have updated their laws to prosecute organized retail crime as felonies, the number of retail theft incidents continues to climb.

According to the data from the report, conducted in partnership with the Loss Prevention Research Council, incidents have jumped 26% in 2023 from the prior year.

“This isn’t what we were used to. This isn’t the shoplifting I was apprehending 30 years ago,” David Johnston, NRF vice president of asset protection and retail operations, told FOX Business. “These are people who are shoplifting because they know when they have an outlet to sell this merchandise to.”

Voters Sent Democrats a Clear Message. They Don’t Want to Hear It.

Arrogance. Plain and simple.

For most Democrats, Trump’s win was a shock. For Ruy Teixeira, it was unsurprising.

A political scientist and lifelong Democrat, Ruy has for years now been warning that the party was prioritizing ideological purity over popular appeal.

His 2023 book with John Judis, Where Have All the Democrats Gone?, could have been a wake-up call for the party. One wonders how the election might have gone if the Harris campaign had read it carefully.

Ruy’s writing has been prophetic on the exact questions Democrats are grappling with as they try to find their way out of the political wilderness. Questions like: Why did so many working-class Americans abandon the party? What happened to the promise of a multiracial Democratic majority? And how, once Democrats have picked themselves up and dusted themselves off, should they go about putting together a winning coalition again?

These questions are set to be a major theme of our politics in 2025 and beyond, and we can think of no better guide than the man who saw so much of it coming.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Ruy is joining The Free Press as a Contributing Writer.

Obamacare / Luigi Mangione

Did the promise of Obamacare turn a kid into a cold blooded killer?

This is the problem with the left. The "gotta do something" crowd does something, and nothing changes. Now you got @2lion70 harping about "common sense gun control" that will invariably lead to a genuine erosion of rights for the many with little to no effect on wacko's shooting up schools.

Democrats are the party of smug self satisfaction. That's all.

The False Promise of Obamacare

It was not supposed to be this way.

Obamacare was supposed to provide universal coverage and make health care more affordable. After all, the law was called the Affordable Care Act. When the Obama administration proposed the law in 2009, it made many promises to sell it to the public and Congress.

One of the more famous ones was that “if you like your doctor, you can keep him.” Another was that if you like your insurance, you can keep that too. Finally, we were told this law would make us all healthier, as uninsured people would no longer wait until health problems became catastrophic before seeking care, typically in the emergency room.

This was the signature initiative of the Obama presidency, and the law has done none of these things. Care has become significantly more expensive. The quality of care has also gone down, with out-of-pocket expenses rising because of higher deductibles and out-of-pocket limits. Doctors are frequently dropped from plans, leaving patients unable to maintain continuity of care with those whom they have come to trust.

The country has not gotten any healthier, in spite of the enormous amount of money changing hands. The complexity of Obamacare has also led to the proliferation of highly paid billing specialists, administrators, and other overhead, none of which contributes directly to better care, but all of it costs money.
