“Michigan’s finest hour” is a TD loss on the road!!!

The worse thing that happened all night is Fowler blowing the “fear is fear itself” quote. Churchill? Chris, WTF?

Listening to them whine that Freirmuth pushed off on the td while showing 2005 game highlights was the greatest display of hypocrisy I have ever witnessed. Ever.

That game took 10 years off my life.

I'm trying to imagine the hysteria if JF had presided over another blown lead against one of the league's marquis teams.

Fortunately, at the end of the day: for the second week in a row we got the critical 1st down to put the game away; we got the critical 4th-down stop near the goal line; we got a little luck with a dropped pass that probably should have been the tying TD; and best of all, we beat freaking Michigan.

Not a bad night's work. Special seasons are built on nights like that.

Time enough tomorrow to ask where the offense went in the 2nd half, why Noah Cain didn't see the field for most of the game, and whether we're going to be able to muster the emotional energy to beat a very good and physical Michigan State team on the road after two straight draining wins against top-20 teams.

For tonight though -- take the W and be happy.

It does. There is a significant drop-off from Tua to Wilson and the play calling has changed to play-not-to-lose mode.

Did you see the 4th and goal from one-foot that turned into a 105 yard Alabama TD? LOL that was pathetic.

I agree with the sentiment but Michigan State is neither very good nor particularly physical. They might beat us. Big Ten road games are always tough, but it won’t be because they are good.

Certainly we're all happy about the 'W', but that type of effort will not beat OSU and will spell trouble against MSU and Minny who are both physical teams that will try to wear us down like Michigan did.
The offensive effort in the 2nd half with zero visible adjusts hung the defense on a thin thread.
Every game is different. MSU, MSU, MSU ! 1-0

did tenn go under center?

Yes, and the QB then attempted to jump over the D-line, got totally stuffed, and somehow managed to fumble the ball over the line and into the middle of the endzone.

It was then returned 105 yards the other direction.

It was bizarre.

Our offense has been very hot and cold all season. It's just a present reality.

The defense is tough, but we have holes.

Most predicted 3-5 losses this year. It's gotta be an excellent coaching job to get us to here, 7-0, right?

Is Harbaugh out looking for his next transfer portal quarterback? Shea is gone after this year right? Maybe he can get that Coan kid from Wisconsin

ooh or Brandon Peters from Illinois.....crap wait....

That was hilarious. From “Finest hour”..., to then embarrassing himself with “fear itself.”

Harbaugh is not sticking around.

Minnesota has two big outstanding receivers.

Minnesota has not played a ranked team all year. Lucked out that Purdue lost 2 offensive players on one play, and we have a bye week before them.
Michigan St. isn't Michigan, but has a bye, could be tough, who knows, another team in an offensive funk, let's see.

Oh, be quiet. We didn't play OSU tonight.

We scored 21 point in the 1st quarter and beat the 2nd best team we play this season. I think were're 10-0 going into OSU. If you think MSU and Minnesota can beat us without many turnovers and a offensive game worse than tonight than you're out of touch.

Hey, at least you guys are .500 against us now....on your home field.

See, you're exactly a typical Michigan fan. Perfectly content with winning battles but not the war. So you can continue to keep track of our record on our home field against you and we'll keep track of division and conference championships. Try looking in the dictionary for definition of championship, as it's a word unknown in Ann Arbor.

Because no matter how irrelevant you are, you act like you're not. So the shock is beautiful every time. It's like watching someone you dislike burn his hand on a hot stove--again, and again, and again.

Lololol so eloquent, that is a hell of a quote

Honestly who cares? Style points are bullshit. Think Wisconsin would care if they had managed to win today that they didn’t “look good” doing it? This game means only one thing. We are 1-0 this week. You can extrapolate nothing from it, because young teams grow every week and things don’t happen in a vacuum.
Spot on Incisive post. We're young but we've been tough and resilient.
