That game took 10 years off my life.
I'm trying to imagine the hysteria if JF had presided over another blown lead against one of the league's marquis teams.
Fortunately, at the end of the day: for the second week in a row we got the critical 1st down to put the game away; we got the critical 4th-down stop near the goal line; we got a little luck with a dropped pass that probably should have been the tying TD; and best of all, we beat freaking Michigan.
Not a bad night's work. Special seasons are built on nights like that.
Time enough tomorrow to ask where the offense went in the 2nd half, why Noah Cain didn't see the field for most of the game, and whether we're going to be able to muster the emotional energy to beat a very good and physical Michigan State team on the road after two straight draining wins against top-20 teams.
For tonight though -- take the W and be happy.
