Probably prefer Clark to lose. tOSU potential points are dwindling and much lower than Iowa's

my thinking too. With snyder hurt, it could be huge. Say he hurts bad enough and loses, he probably MFF out after loss. Either way I dont think Snyder is bonusing anymore.

Ok St seems to have missed the signs and ended up at custards last stand.

If we would (and I dont think we will) sh!t the bed Iowa looks to be positioned to capitalize heading into semis.

Doing the points in my head against my thoughts for tonight, why not mathematical the trophy could be heading back to HV

Need to keep winning and we'll be in good shape.

Ohio State is 15 behind, Iowa is 16 behind, heading into tonight. There are not many "gimmes" out there tonight, but in this tournament so far, for the most part, there have been a few surprises, but not an abundance of them.

Snyder is the big thing right now, if he can't go, Ohio State is in deep trouble, they don't have the bonus in the semi's that they had in Bloomington this time.

Iowa and Oklahoma State can still make moves in wrestlebacks, but so can we.

Hawkeyes wrestling very well - but Kemerer getting stuck by Palacio hurt their very slim path.
And two PSU v Iowa heads up in semis

Buckeyes are our top completion. And they have nothing left at 125, 141,
157 & 165 (thanks Jimmy !!)

Myles is buried in wrestlebacks - having Dechow next.
And Superman just got hurt.

This is where I am at. If things go chalk tonight, we are north of 100 points, send 2 more of Iowa's wrestlers to consis, and have a great shot at 2 champions on top of all of that.

I like where we stand even if we lose 2 tonight.

What is a championship bracket victory worth tonight? If we go 3/5, gotta think we are well over 100 points and in good shape for tomorrow.

A win tonight in semis means +6 placement (diff between 6 and 2) and +1 advancement, plus any bonus

Pletcher gets a quick TD and he cuts JG. 6-3. RT over 1 min for JG.

JG with a TD. 8-3. Announcer foolishly thinks JG was stalling.

JG ends up with a stall for dropping on the leg after that tD. Pletcher out now. 8-4 with RT.

JG with another tD 11-4 decision.

Very impressive Tourney so far for Jimmy - Pletcher was wrestling really well to this point.

Semis: 4 for 4 = 28 points (Iowa) = 86 points + bonus + 3 left in the consis
Semis: 4 for 4 = 28 points (Tanner U) = 87 + bonus + 2 left in the consis
A good margin but it's still up to the semifinalists.

My question being if I heard correct I am not sure if Snyder would be healthy or in any kind of shape for them if they are scheduled at that time.(assuming Snyder was going to wrestle in them) Can anyone confirm those dates...

He sure has! I can appreciate him taking advantage of his opportunity. However, since I am not a Hawkeye fan.....I will not not root for him to lose....but I will certainly will root for his opponent to win!

8 scorers, 8 AAs, 8 qualifiers....there were so many different claims made it'd be almost impossible to be wrong... (i.e., still say our top 7 scorers take this tournament and a decently high probability that our top 6 scorers are enough).

Ohio State 158
Iowa 176.5
Oklahoma State 190

Now remember, that these are in a vacuum. Each team is looked at by itself. There are quite a few cross matches tonight, so winner can only get the Max potential in that match, and the loser would automatically lose the max potential points from their score.

The Max Potential number will drop fast tonight for all schools. Only 15 schools left with a theoretical chance. 8 are in the Big10. If Zain and Nolf win tonight, it is a PSU and $OSU only.

Tough break for Dechow. Takes Dean to the brink [no ones been as close since Ruth?, other than the Boyd fluke] and his reward is another returning Natl Champ just to AA.

Snyder does not need to attend the US open in April. The top 7 from the US Open qualify for the WTT in early June. Snyder already qualified for the WTT (and Snyder gets the bye to the finals).
