2017 NCAAs Session 4 Thread

Hey Cowboy, I just want to say thank you for being such a good sport. I appreciate other team fans visiting us even during the era of Cael-PSU domination.
more resignation. If you look back, I was saying last summer we didn't have the high end to keep up. Would have loved a couple upsets to go our way for a change, but your guys have wrestled a hell of a tournament.

How many official scorers did you need?:D

Great way to put it... Jschrantz. 5 finalists in a row.... a show certainly for the ages. With 2 pins in a National Semi-Final and a major. Penn State is on another level.
Can't relax now...MUST HAVE A GREAT FINALS !!!!

The difference between Ryan and Cael:

Suriano gets hurt, he's out.
Snyder gets hurt, they shoot him up and he goes.

If anything Kyle was actually complimentary as he talked about almost all of Penn State guys get better and develop.

My observation as well. I think Dake is a dbag but he was very complimentary of the PSU program and Cael. Some people can't see through their bias

Freestyle vs Folk

Snyder looks gassed after every match that goes distance vs college kids

Looks more fresh after his freestyle bouts
Against the worlds best

Just an observation
In college matches, he goes a full additional minute against mostly guys who outweigh him by 35+ lb, without an intermission break in the middle of the match.

Forget about that. I'm cracking open another beer, putting my lazy boy back and basking in the beauty that will forever be known as "Friday Night" in my household. Of course we are nitpicking on what to now call an actual Friday night but we'll figure it out...

Oh wait, you were talking about the team weren't you?

Question is how does the Hodge stand up? Guessing it will be Cox, as he'll be the only senior, left, undefeated (Bo wins of course)
Won't rule it out completely, but if Bo wins, Zain should get the award. Will be really hard to ignore him being Most Dominant 2 years in a row, and much more than Cox. Especially if he pins/techs the field at nationals.

Apologize if it's already been posted, but, since there's been a lot of conversation generated on how many scorers would be needed, here is our scoring break down through Day 2. Note that our 3 high scorers are the 3 high scorers out of the entire tournament.

Bo Nickal (Penn State) 23.5
Zain Retherford (Penn State) 22.5
Jason Nolf (Penn State) 22
Mark Hall (Penn State) 18.5
Vincenzo Joseph (Penn State) 17
Nick Nevills (Penn State) 9
James Guilbon (Penn State) 4.5
Matt McCutcheon (Penn State) 4

My kid is playing Sweet Caroline in the basement......great sports night for Penn State.

It won't be long before we are following basketball this weekend........believe.

That is what I would hope, but isn't it turning into a lifetime achievement award? Too much BBQ and beer (threw the coleslaw into the refrig for the wife) to look it up.

What an amazing effort from all 5 guys. Hall and Joseph are so smart out there for the age. Great challenge in the Hall match by Casey- I was yelling at the tv when it happened. Zain-Nolf-Bo what can you say? These three guys are not only great, but great to watch! I had a good feeling heading in to the round, but not THAT good of a feeling. This is a well oiled machine.

It appears that we may only need 5 scorers to win. Wait I'm confused. I thought 8 scorers are required to win NCAAs
