2018 Recruiting Thread

I'm just wondering how much the Buckeye$ paid for Petit? I mean, Walker is their guy, Walker is their guy, they have Walker's HS coach working on Walker being their guy, then all of the sudden the #1 OT on 247 is their guy? I think they missed on Walker and a deal was cut with a this hired gun from Florida. A week ago even Buckeye Land of 10 writers conceeded that Alabama was the "heavy favorite" for Petit. I guess Ohio $t has now outbid them? The only question is what and how creatively the Buckeyes paid.

Petit-Frere is trending heavily to OSU right now.

Have to imagine tomorrow will be:

PSU - Walker
OSU - NPF
Michigan - lol

PSU and OSU both fill their biggest position of need, Michigan hilariously strikes out again, and the rich get richer.
We have to get Walker! We have to win this recruiting battle!

Honestly... If you've been watching this, OSU picking up NPF right now flies in the face of reason. I demand an NCAA investigation!

I imagine losing Josh Gattis was really the biggest issue on Enis. Gattis is a great recruiter and would have been his position coach. I think if Gattis had stayed Enis would be PSU bound.

You can't win them all and sometimes these things happen.

You are correct Judge:
Ken Pryor is a coach at North Point High School, Waldorf, MD -- that is Rasheed's HS

yes thats him, he's not a very good football coach either. Consistently has the most talent in his region and loses every year. Hell I watch them play this year and atleast 4 or 5 times they had illegal receivers running down field. They lined their TE up at G in a standard formation and he went out for a pass and caught the ball. The coaches couldn't understand why they got a penalty when he was covered by the OT and the TE.

As for the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Walker, I was confident Ohio State would steal him from Penn State thanks to all of the above-mentioned factors until late last week, when sources close to him toldEleven Warriors his relationship with head coach James Franklin gave the Nittany Lions the advantage in his recruitment.

There was a lot of confidence on the Buckeyes' side following his official visit last month, but it's always been an uphill battle. And despite Meyer giving it his all during an in-home visit last Wednesday, Penn State will be the choice tomorrow at 11:15.

Wait a second, you mean that Walker really had a committable offer from O$U? That no illegal contact grip and grin sessions took place on his campus visit that nullified O$U's interest in him? CJF must have told Walker that his O$U position coach would be leaving after signing day.

Possibly good info. But there is no need for a recruiting professional to issue a pre-announcement announcement, that steals the thunder from a student/athlete's formal ceremony.

What a #%*>¥+] thing to do.
After all of this, how crass to not let the recruit, his family, his coaches and fans have their moment of surprise.

Guys if we land Walker today, just think, our starting 5 OL in a couple years could consist of the following names
T Walker
T Asiedu
C Scruggs
G Thorpe
G Miranda

That is scary!
