2022-23 Transfer Portal Thread

M. Wilson leaving looks to me like a classic case of Franklin's promise to get a player his degree and after that their spot is not guaranteed. Duck seems to be the player that will take Wilson's roster spot for 2023 and he seems like an obvious upgrade over Wilson.

CB will be a position of strength in 2023 with King, Dixon, Duck and Hardy leading the way. But after those 4 there is only Miller with any experience. And looking ahead to 2024 all of King, Dixon, Duck and Hardy are likley gone. So that will leave only Miller returning with experience as of now. It seems to me that rather than giving playing time to Wilson in 2023 (and who also would have also been gone after 2023) the staff knows it is imperitive to develop the young corners in 2023 so that one or two of the 2023 true freshmen are ready to take big roles in 2024. Even at that a very good CB from the portal could be the highest position priority for next winter's off season. It's just the nature of college football in the transfer portal era.

Saw a tweet last night showing his name in a student directory or in some PSU registration system. Seems like he'd be a good get. Listed at 6'4" so he's got the frame to win on 50/50 balls.
Seems to fit the size and skill set that made Carter/Broden of interest. Who knows?
