Period 1:
Starocci presses forward. Starocci has Smith on the edge, but Smith circles back in. Circling & tying up. Starocci pushes forward again. Starocci with some snaps. Starocci snags a leg & is looking for a TD on the edge, but they go out of bounds, neutral restart. Smith gets poked in the eye. Starocci presses forward again. He snaps & keeps moving forward. Starocci drops in on a leg on the edge & is trying to drag Smith back in, but they go out of bounds, neutral restart, 30-sec left. Starocci comes forward again. Smith is on the edge. Starocci drops in on a leg, but Smith goes out of bounds. Short circling & the period ends. 0-0
Period 2:
Starocci takes down. He gets to his feet, gets hand control & gets the quick escape, 1-0. Starocci pushes forward, then drops in on a leg. He elevates & tries to drag Smith back in. Starocci keeps working, jerks Smith back in & pounces on top to finish the TD, 4-0. Out of bounds & restart. Smith is still down. He gets to a foot, but Starocci is putting on a hard ride & gets Smith bellied out, 30-sec left. Starocci is hammering from top. Smith not doing much from bottom. Starocci rides out the period.
Period 3:
Smith takes down. Starocci goes over 1-min RT, then cuts Smith, 4-1. Starocci presses forward again & takes Smith out of bounds. Smith gets a 2nd stall call, point Starocci, 5-1. Smith shoots, Starocci counters for another TD, 8-1. Starocci gets Smith bellied out again, 1-min left. Starocci cuts Smith, 8-2. Starocci presses forward again. He shoots, but Smith counters & they go out of bounds, neutral restart, 30-sec left. Starocci pushes forward again. He drops to a leg, then finishes off the TD, 11-2. I've heard people in favor of a new rule not letting a wrestler choose bottom if they've already given up over 2:00 of riding time but I'd take it further and cap it at 1:00.
Maybe but I think it makes me somewhat qualified since they all call shit so differently...

I would assume loss of corner control at the end of the Pinto match when they were all jumping around and came into the circle
Cardenas is very slick and quick. I think a bad shot makes him dangerous.
PSU is 0-3 in matches where they don't attempt to score.
No more dangerous than no shot at all.
You can’t be afraid to shoot at all. Cardenas is the better rider so it was not worth trying to get into ride outs again.
Manning's squeal was so high pitched it hurt the ref's ears. One point deduction for unnecessary roughness.
That’s a bummer, slipped right before Cardenas got in on the shot.
Assuming Kerk wins, I’ll take 6 finalists all day long. We can work with 6.
Not a matter of fear, he has to improve setups. He’s make big strides this year but the next step is improving the hand fight and finding angles.
I'd prefer BB and SVN didn't lose to guys they've handled because they didn't try to score.
Exactly, it may be the Iowa mindset of maybe taking a bad shot can lead to a takedown but it’s not the Cael way.
This is a fundamental misunderstanding the PSU mindset and why guys score a lot
