Ramos taken down late in 2nd and it’s 4-4 going into the 3rd.
The Dream Crusher is all tied up 4-4 vs Rivera at the start of the 3rd!
About a minute after Sparks said Ramos hasn't been taken down all season he gets taken down by Rivera.
Wow! Rolling around on the mat with Ramos is dangerous.
125 QF - Luke Lilledahl VS Joey Cruz (IA)
Period 1:
Circling & tying up. Luke presses forward. Cruz circles back in. Luke shoots, but Cruz fights him off. Luke keeps pressing forward. Stoppage & restart for something. Circling & tying up in the center. Luke tries a drag, but no luck, 2-min left. Back to tying up & circling. Luke reaches for an ankle, but can't get there. Luke snaps, but can't come behind. Cruz shoots, Luke counters, but no one scores. Luke has Cruz on the edge. Cruz circles back in, under 1-min. Luke reaches, but can't get there. Luke shoots, but they go out of bounds. Back to tying up & circling. Luke shoots & gets to a leg, but Cruz fights him off. Luke shoots again and gets a TD at the end of the period, 3-0 after the 1st.
Period 2:
Luke takes down. He stands & gets the escape, 4-0. Circling, head slapping & tying up. Cruz shoots & gets a leg. Luke sprawls back hard. Stalemate & restart. Luke pushes forward. Hand fighting & collar ties. Snaps from both. Luke shoots, but can't get there. Back to circling & tying up, 30-sec left. Luke shoots & gets an ankle & finishes off another TD, 7-0. Luke has Cruz bellied out. Luke rides out the period. 7-0 Luke, +27-sec RT
Period 3:
Cruz takes down. Luke with a heavy spiral ride, and he gets Cruz bellied out. Luke goes over 1-min RT. Luke cuts Cruz, 7-1. Luke +1:07 RT. Luke comes forward. He shoots, but Cruz blocks him off. Luke keeps coming. Cruz gets hit with a stall call as they go out of bounds. Luke shoves Cruz into the chairs! Love it!!! Luke with a quick double off the restart, 10-1. Luke has an arm barred & is trying to run Cruz over. Luke rides out the 3rd & adds a RT point for the 11-1 major.

Cruz going to try to stall without calls to not get majored. LL with his best Terry Brands impersonation. Luke tired of Cruz antics. Stalling didn't work.
Luke wins B1G! Almost with a pin at the end. Totally dominated Cruz!
Physical match for the true freshman. Nice job. Was about to get back points at the end.
Give the Brands boys some credit, Cruz improved by 38% against Lilledahl. Six weeks ago Cruz lost by 16, today only by 10.

Snaps & fakes from both. Back to tying up in the center, 90-sec left. Nick & Cody are in the corner for Davis. More circling, head tapping & hand fighting, 1-min left. Davis shoots, but no luck. Shawver shoots & gets deep in on a double. Davis wraps around the waist. Shawver keeps driving. Davis holds on. This is close. Time expires with no scoring. Wow! Way to hand on Davis. Shawver was close to scoring there. Great job! 0-0

Shawver takes neutral. Circling, head tapping & hand fighting. More circling in the center, 1-min left. More tying up & circling, but not much more action, 30-sec left. Shawver shoots, but no luck. Shawver shoots again, gets a leg & picks Davis off the mat & has him over his shoulder. Davis locks around the waist & fights Shawver off as they come back to the mat & the period ends. Wow! 0-0
Period 3:
Davis takes down. He sits out, turns & gets the escape in 9-sec, 1-0. Shawver gets in deep again & picks Davis off the mat. Davis is draped over the shoulder of Shawver, but they go out of bounds, restart, no scoring. Circling & tying up again, 1-min left. Davis shoots & gets deep in on a leg. Shawver counters. They're scrambling & Davis tries to come up through the legs. Shawver tries to roll. They keep scrambling & Davis locks around the leg. Shawver keeps working & gets the TD right at the end, 3-1.
PSU throws the brick & the TD is under review. That was close. Davis never let go of the leg. No luck on the challenge. TD stands. Shaver wins.
