2025 Big Ten Tournament thread

I think Davis has wrestled a fantastic tournament. After the loss to Shawver, I believe he has looked better than he has all season.
Agree. Especially in some spurts. I would totally expect him to have some gas tank issues. This tourney will help that. Could have been more tentative in the Shawver match due to the previous loss. More confident in an AA now than Friday.

Just giving you a hard time. I appreciate all the good work and effort you have put in to entertain us knuckleheads.
I could definitely be wrong btw! I am not a doctor and even if I were I’m not there to do an exam. But I do watch an unhealthy amount of sports and that did not seem like a “it’ll be fine with ice and a week off” type of limp

Yeah, that limp didn't look good. But who knows at this point? If it's a sprain (vice something structural), but 10 days still isn't much recovery time, depending on severity of course.
If you want to go back to BTN+ to look, it's Session 3 Consolation Mat 3 around the 37:00-minute mark. Can't see anything that would have caused the injury. Looks like the L ankle (maybe achilles tendon?). I AM NOT A DOCTOR

Hopefully Luke finds Lightning one more time for a B1G win, but if he just doesn’t get pinned, he clinches the team title. 😂

My reaction as well.

Beside the limp, the PSU coaches immediately decided, "yeah, we're done here" and prompted injury defaulted, without even a thought of continuing. Hopefully the injury is less serious than it first appeared; fingers crossed.

Some of that may be timing in relation to NCAAs. Not really much value of making anything worse.

watched the replay a bunch of times. Didn't see. him turn an ankle or knee. He did reach for the hamtring a few times. Based on his gait I think hamstring injury is most likely. He. had full motion at the knee and ankle when he walked after the initial injury, then was too gimpy at the end for me to be able to tell.

This is the penalty for having such a great dynasty- every spring Penn State wrestling fans get to hear 10 consecutive days of torture with people speculating, debating, being hopeful, or gloom and doom, over one of the ten great wrestlers before the biggest tournament of the year.

It's now a traditional thing. Usually it starts in late February but the wrestling Gods decided to compact that shit into 10 full days. The only constant in this tradition is Cael, who gives zero shits about what anyone thinks and rightfully so 😂.

Looked like a hamstring injury all day to me, but appeared to happen when you don’t normally see them - like when a guy is in the splits defending a single leg. Very weird, but he clearly reached for the hamstring
