if this weekend is any indication of what is in store traveling over the mountain on a game day, it’s going to be a long ride. Staying in the campgrounds on the top of the mountain I was able to see just how bad traffic backed up. Both Friday and today, it was really bad. Can’t tell how bad it was past Potters Mills as we avoided going in that direction, but planned on adding at least 1/2 hr just to get over the Mtn

Might want to leave on Wednesday for a Saturday game

Potters Mills has been miserable the last few years. I don't think the new construction would affect the trip into town much since it already sucks.

However, it might make it more difficult to get out of town after a game.

This is the construction project that will never end. Pretty sure a Pitt season ticket holder is in charge of this debacle.

Problem appears to be that 322 goes down to one lane just as you get over the mountain, as opposed to 1/4 of a mile before you get to Potters Mill. Makes it seem a lot worse. Gotta merge into one lane eventually. I don't think it'll take any longer than usual. Just the same, leave home earlier to be safe.

I drove through it on Thursday and the opposite way on Friday. It is and will be worse. The back-up on Friday afternoon (2:00 PM) was well before the peak. And Thursay (5:30 PM), the entire 2 lane was backed up all the way to the 4 lane highway at Boalsburg. That is as far as I have ever seen it backed up after a FB game. However, I would hope they actually are not doing contsruction on the weekend of gamedays.

Even if they aren't doing construction it won't matter. There is only 1 lane in each direction that is able to be open. Can't do much about that.

It does matter, because they would briefly stop traffic in one or both directions to allow construction vehicles to cross traffic. But I agree making it one lane earlier will impact traffic, and I think more than a little.

I always wondered why they couldn't make the final 13 miles into
state College one way before game and one way out after the game. Both lanes.

It would take some logistics but it could be done.

Just like Park Ave.
