The only thing missing from your comparison is a 39 point loss to Michigan.
It's okay to admit the committee got it wrong. Answer me this....if they would have put Penn State in and Penn State would have gotten crushed by Clemson 31-0, what would everyone say? They would say PSU should not have been in there and OSU should have. So why is it wrong to say it when it happens the other way around? You don't even realize you're undermining your own argument. You lost to a team that lost 5 games and finished unranked and you got shit-stomped by the team that finished third in your division.
And for some reason you think you got jobbed by the selection committee.
Western Michigan didn't play a single Top 40 team. You only make yourself look stupid when you trot them out as an example.
31-0. 31-0. 31-0. 31-0. 31-0. 31-0. 31-0. 31-0I've said all along that if you guys have a beef it should be with Washington and not Ohio State. My guess is the committee wasn't going to take 2 B1G teams and leave the Pac-12 out two years in a row.
yes, but lost two other games. mich killed psu head to head and had one other close loss to a very good team. you are so big on head to head, i would think you would say mich deserves a playoff more than you. There is one objective fact that should not be ignored....WE BEAT OSU HEAD TO HEAD.
I care about Monday afternoon. Good luck to you.you mean a 2 loss team that is champions of a conf that is is 2 and 5 in bowls.
pac12 is not nobody. they are legit teams. your conf is doing terrible right now so dont talk about uw playing nobody. your conf is playing like nobody right now.So that's the "objective" facts that got their agenda this year...it hasn't been in the past. But if that's the case, then why did Washington get in when 100% of their season involved playing pretty much nobody?
Beat OSU head to head and finished ahead of them in the B1G. Focus. You don't even realize you're undermining your own argument. You lost to a team that lost 5 games and finished unranked and you got shit-stomped by the team that finished third in your division.
And for some reason you think you got jobbed by the selection committee.
Actually, we're big on conference championships....of which Michigan won zero.yes, but lost two other games. mich killed psu head to head and had one other close loss to a very good team. you are so big on head to head, i would think you would say mich deserves a playoff more than you.
You're on the wrong board bud. Go back to where you came from.you mean a 2 loss team that is champions of a conf that is is 2 and 5 in bowls.
Yes, because bowls are such an accurate measurement of an entire season. How many home bowl games do Big 10 teams play?pac12 is not nobody. they are legit teams. your conf is doing terrible right now so dont talk about uw playing nobody. your conf is playing like nobody right now.
uw belonged in the playoff. they played bama tough. they had some costly turnovers but were in the game until the 4th.I've said all along that if you guys have a beef it should be with Washington and not Ohio State. My guess is the committee wasn't going to take 2 B1G teams and leave the Pac-12 out two years in a row.
I ask again, is USC better than Washington?pac12 is not nobody. they are legit teams. your conf is doing terrible right now so dont talk about uw playing nobody. your conf is playing like nobody right now.
it is both record and strength of schedule. that is why w mich cant get in and why 2 loss teams who get blown out cant get in.You are the one who focused on record, not strength of schedule. I used it to point out the absurdity of your argument, but it went over your head. No surprise there. You can have the final word. It will not be worth a response.
Deserve means nothing. All P5 conference champions should be in, with 3 wild card teams. The five champions should be seeded, then the 3 wild cards seeded below them, with the top four having home games, regardless of site or weather. The next round is the bowls played today. Then the title game.yes, but lost two other games. mich killed psu head to head and had one other close loss to a very good team. you are so big on head to head, i would think you would say mich deserves a playoff more than you.
So UW belonged because they played Bama tough but OSU belonged because of why they were picked even though they got boat raced....okay, I see.uw belonged in the playoff. they played bama tough. they had some costly turnovers but were in the game until the 4th.
This, I like! tOSU did lose to Clemson head to head, but so what? They are obviously the better team, and deserve to go on to the championship game. What do you think this does for Ohio states championship hopes? Think Delaney could get them into the final game? Their resume is so good still!
true. they are not the only measure. but they do tell some things about how good a conf is. and if home games dont count then we can erase your osu win. sorry, all games count. if you want to prove your team and conf is better, then sometimes you have to do it on the road.Yes, because bowls are such an accurate measurement of an entire season. How many home bowl games do Big 10 teams play?
Is USC better than Washington?true. they are not the only measure. but they do tell some things about how good a conf is. and if home games dont count then we can erase your osu win. sorry, all games count. if you want to prove your team and conf is better, then sometimes you have to do it on the road.
no. uw is better than usc. we played a good game that one night. uw is a better overall team probably. but our qb is insanely good.I ask again, is USC better than Washington?
Yes we got smoked for sure and were not ready for prime time at the big house early in the year, however your conveniently over looking the fact that we were playing not only with some major injuries to both offense and defensive starters but our starting QB was in his fourth start on the road in the Big House no less. I would wager that if we play them now WE WIN! How you finish the season SHOULD count and DID count in the past but was ignored THIS YEAR. So you were saying?yes, but lost two other games. mich killed psu head to head and had one other close loss to a very good team. you are so big on head to head, i would think you would say mich deserves a playoff more than you.
you present your argument as if psu and mich didn't play. they did.You present an argument as if PSU and OSU didn't play. They did.
But the Big 10 has to do it in every bowl game they're in. Also, different conferences have different matchups. The SEC and Big 10 always have the toughest matchups because they get in the higher ranked bowls and they don't play AAC and MAC teams like other conferences do. The Big did really well in bowls last year but the conference wasn't nearly as strong as it was this year.true. they are not the only measure. but they do tell some things about how good a conf is. and if home games dont count then we can erase your osu win. sorry, all games count. if you want to prove your team and conf is better, then sometimes you have to do it on the road.
i can agree with your post. psu is much improved. but i dont think they are quit as good as the top 5 or 6 teams. we will find out monday.Yes we got smoked for sure and were not ready for prime time at the big house early in the year, however your conveniently over looking the fact that we were playing not only with some major injuries to both offense and defensive starters but our starting QB was in his fourth start on the road in the Big House no less. Let's give UW a participation trophy. Shame games are 60 minutes.uw belonged in the playoff. they played bama tough. they had some costly turnovers but were in the game until the 4th.
So now we should put a third place team in lot the playoffs? Think about what you're saying.you present your argument as if psu and mich didn't play. they did.
Yeah I agree Looking forward to the game!i can agree with your post. psu is much improved. but i dont think they are quit as good as the top 5 or 6 teams. we will find out monday.
some truth to your post. i get it. but big 10 fans/psu fans are acting like their conf is vastly superior to other conferences. and they are not. right now they kind of look like the weakest big conf. But the Big 10 has to do it in every bowl game they're in. no, you should have been behind a team with a better all around resume. you cant change the criteria to suit your needs. So now we should put a third place team in lot the playoffs? Think about what you're saying.
They finished in third place...no "resume" makes that better. Have you ever played a sport in your life?no, you should have been behind a team with a better all around resume. you cant change the criteria to suit your needs.
So a win over Indiana and North Carolina and the PAC 12 are world beaters?some truth to your post. i get it. but big 10 fans/psu fans are acting like their conf is vastly superior to other conferences. and they are not. right now they kind of look like the weakest big conf.
no. we are an average conf this yr. i said that before. but i dont act like the pac12 is the dominant conf this yr. psu fans do.So a win over Indiana and North Carolina and the PAC 12 are world beaters?
i think if USC played Washington again, USC would win again. What do you think?no, you should have been behind a team with a better all around resume. you cant change the criteria to suit your needs.
Regardless of who you think they should have beaten, Indiana lost 7 games. And Bloomington isn't exactly a hostile environment. The crowds at Memorial Stadium tend to be split 50/50 depending on who the opponent is.Indiana is a better team than you give them credit for. Should have beat OSU and lately the ranked team in their bowl game. They just don't have the depth. Besides since when is a win on the road bad?
The Indiana game is a terrible example. We lost 2 OL starters in that game and were literally down to 1 OL starter who actually started the year and we had 2 freshman starters to begin with! We were surviving in that game.Regardless of who you think they should have beaten, Indiana lost 7 games. And Bloomington isn't exactly a hostile environment. The crowds at Memorial Stadium tend to be split 50/50 depending on who the opponent is.
