Exactly. People who ignore the on field results have no place in the conversation. They have 3 losses!! It doesn't matter how good the "look," they didn't get it done on the field.
Have you watched PSU lately? What has USC done that is better than what we have done over the past 6 games?
I thought it was an interesting ranking. Todd also qualified his rankings by stating that he based in on how teams were currently playing. I think USC would beat any team in the B1G right now.
But who are they playing? That's the rub. And that's the arguable point of contention.
who knows they play in a VERY weak PAC 12 and havn't really beaten anyone other than UW who is very suspect in my mind as they have beaten no one.

Well I'm sure that Todd, whose opinion has zero beating on the matter (sorry that's lost on you), is heartbroken you're sad at him. I'll even bet this warrants a special page in his feelings journal.

Obviously, when the selections are made they are not made whole completely throwing away a team's body of work

And they improved, just like we did after losing to Pitt and getting hammered by Michigan. People seen to forget about that.
One of their losses was to #1.. USC has come along way, like PSU, people wanted to run their coach out.
I was kind of shocked that they weren't ranked top 10 in the last rankings to be honest.
And everyone bitches when Herbstreit pushes OSU so which way is it. should announcers push their school or should they be impartial ?
He did indeed make that qualification, but aren't the playoff rankings an assessment of the entire season? Thus, apple's and oranges.
